Welcome

_______________________________________

Hello, all good people...

_______________________________________

Salutations, I am Craig Willms creator of the Protohuman blog. really don't know what this 'space' is anymore. The idea of a weblog has been replaced by the podcast in the modern world. Reading words is so 2005.

However, I own this space so to speak, and I have things I'd like to say in the form of essays, articles and personal notes simply as a record that I had these thoughts and sought to write them down before I lose myself. I'm under no illusion that anyone will read them - or care one wit.

Still, there is a chance that someone will look me up after my death and find my online life. We live in the first era where we can preserve our thoughts indefinitely due to the way back machine, aka the Internet. Prior to the Internet you'd have to be published to have your writings preserved outside of your personal notebooks. Therefore, these essays and personal anecdotes that follow are my thoughts.

The articles/essays are in no particular order, relevant perhaps, but may have been superseded by events that followed.

I maintain the right to be wrong about any of it...      que sera sera!

Take a minute to look at my art and listen to my music & my writings.

Errata: July 2026

As the World Churns

The war, or whatever you want to call it, with Iran has been declared over. Everyone knows it's not over. This is meaningless to Israel. Israel, of course, will have no say in the outcome. Hence, they are still at war.

Trump apparently wanted it over and made a "deal". That's what Trump does. He's a deal maker. The deal isn't done, but the shooting is, but is it, really? The things that didn't happen are as pivotal as the things that did.  Iran is in coming out of this conflict in poor shape. Militarily, Iran has been decimated, their ability to project power is limited to some missiles and a bunch of drones. Both are routinely shot out of the sky by the U.S. and Israeli defenses. Their defenses are gone. Despite Iran's meager effort to expand the conflict it did not spread to include any other major power. Neighboring states under fire were largely protected by the U.S. military. Even more important to America and Americans is no ground troops were involved and no daily body count. Troops were lost, but few were lost to enemy fire.

On the other side I don't have a clue as to how many Irani's were killed, but don't think it was massive. Civilians in Iran were mostly unscathed. A large part of the Iranian population was asking, praying for Trump's intervention. I'm not sure they got what they asked for, in fact I'm pretty sure they didn't. The "regime" is still holding the nation in a stranglehold.

In the end I fully understood the justification for Trump doing this, Iran has been waging a terrorist war on the West for 47 years. President 47 wanted to put a stop to it. Well, he didn't. He did cripple Iran, that's true. Other positives will emerge as time passes, but it's still kicking the can down the road, only this time he used a cannon. Iran, if left unchecked will continue the Jihad.

Maybe it was a message to the rest of the world. A demonstration. Was it worth it? We'll have to let the future decide, at least it was not an atrocious bloodbath.

DSA Test

We men have submit a PSA test as we age. It's used to see if we have a serious health crisis looming. The Democratic Party is enduring a DSA test as we speak. Depending on the outcome patient America may have a real serious health issue.

It is beyond me how anyone in their right mind would think that socialism/communism is an answer to anything. It's been a disaster everywhere it's been tried. Clearly these people and the people who vote for them are not in their right minds. So, are we supposed to accept mentally challenged crazy people inserting socialists into high office?

Is the current big bank, private equity Wall Street paradigm some kind of nirvana? No, it is not. But socialism is not the cure to what ails us. Getting big money and its warped influence out of Washington and out of all politics is where it needs to start.

So, over the next few election cycles we'll see if the ridiculous Democratic Party succumbs to insanity. There is a cabal of dark money funding the socialist takeover of the Democratic party, Soros and other non-American billionaires along with China's CCP are funding these radicals. If they succeed the plan is to destroy the United States from within. Initially the uni-party Democrats and Republicans will be the losers. The center will not hold. MAGA or something like it will probably anchor the Republicans. Trumps supporters generally love him, but Trump's unhinged detractors hate him so much more.

Democrats are a party of hate. I'm not going to sugarcoat it; they are self-destructive haters. They can cry and scream about the so-called Christian Nationalists and other ghosts threatening our democracy, but the DSA's hate knows no bounds. They hate America, they hate Americans, they hate just about everything except power.

We're All Gonna Die

It's summer in Minnesota and it will get hot. This is similar to winter which generally gets cold. Hearty Minnesotans have mostly learned to deal with it, hot in the summer and cold in the winter, pretty simple. You wouldn't be able to tell watching local or even national news these days.

We were told our faces were going to melt this week. It was going to reach 90 degrees with high humidity. No, not 90 degrees!! Oh the humanity!!! It's outright dangerous to even venture outside. They have lists and pointers and advice on how to survive it. Thank God! In the winter we have similar scare stories. I, like most people have enough sense not to freeze my ass off - because it is truly dangerous in sub-zero weather.

I'm glad to have a heads up, that is all well and good, but we don't need wall to wall, noon to midnight updates and tips on how to survive the heat.

Parallel Existence

by Craig Willms

A while back I read a comment on a YouTube video that struck me as actually being profound. When I thought about the underlying meaning of the comment, I said to myself 'well, that's me'. In short, the subject was about how we navigate the public world and where we prefer to see our place in it. His comment was - essentially - I go out from my comfortable home, out into the world and interact with others, sometimes compelled, sometimes to accompany my wife for something important to her. I talk and interact in a pleasant way, being perfectly polite, asking questions, smiling and nodding, but not really enjoying any of it. Ok, that's over, good... We return home and I'm instantly happy to be back living a parallel existence to everyone else again.

Parallel existence. Aren't we all living a parallel existence to some degree? Yes, I think so. But we all know people who are not really happy unless they are involved, interacting with others, engaged with another person towards some end. That's what makes them feel alive. For others it's a chore, a burden, all this dealing with people. Those like me are at one with ourselves and don't need people as much...

I know it sounds bad. It sounds like these people, people like me, don't have relationships or close friends and are not neighborly. That's not it. That's not it at all. It's hard to describe, but it really comes down to the feeling that you have interacting with the people out in the world, you're doing just that, acting. Even that sounds bad. It's best described as that feeling you have when you are finally alone and can be yourself again, peeling off the chameleon skin, done with the show.

It's not that you don't like people. You love people, certain people... It's not that you don't care about the details of their lives, even when you know they don't really care about yours. It's the fact we all have our own shit to deal with and talking about certain things is just tedious or uncomfortable, and it's usually unproductive. It's down to fact that we know that no one really cares. The ones that do care, well, they know you and accept you as you are. The rest of them are going through the motions of polite company.

For a lot of us even in our personal relationships we tend to keep everyone at an arm's length. It's not that we never open up or act in a vulnerable way, but it's kept to a bare minimum. We don't want to be a burden, and we don't seek so-called emotional support - for better or worse. Those who constantly talk about themselves or keep a verbal dialogue running eventually bore the snot out of us and we secretly pray for their silence. We usually don't share unless asked directly. We may come off as snobs I guess, but honestly, does anyone out there truly care about inane details about us?

There are always exceptions. Some people are so skilled at communication and at expressing what I'd call genuine empathy for you that you tend to open up without even realizing you're doing it. These people are rare and special, but it's not really you that's eliciting it in them, they can do it with just about anyone. You'll notice these types of people are usually quite successful in their chosen fields. Do we envy them, maybe a little. But only a little.

I have a feeling that this sort of parallel existence phenomenon is largely male, maybe even old guy male. I think women and girls are far more social and actually need closeness in a way that makes men uncomfortable. I think men will be nodding their heads reading this.

I'm not really sure what point I'm trying to make, but I think almost anyone can relate to some degree. Those who are not like this, the ones who dive in headfirst into social situations or really love 'involvement' in groups or social activities might find us odd, but I suspect more people are like me than are like them. It takes all kinds; the world would be a dreadfully dull place if everyone acted like me.

Cynthia vs AI

by Craig Willms

A few years ago, there was an ad campaign for something or another that featured Cynthia, an HOA authority figure. Cynthia would walk past a homeowner's place and point out violation after violation. The homeowner would simply respond "Thank you, Cynthia." We always got a kick out of these spots and always say 'Thank you, Cynthia' whenever someone utters the word violation.

When I was watching a YT video on the dangers of AI and the notion that it wasn't being regulated properly or at all, it made me think of  Cynthia. We need an "HOA" for AI development. We need a Cynthia to spot the violations.

In my opinion all AI models need to be subjected to the scrutiny of Cynthia as they are released into the world. I have no idea how something like that would work. How you would regulate something like AI is a mystery to me, herding cats comes to mind. Considering that these AI models are often released to corporations and the general public without any vetting it could be a disaster waiting to happen. Many in-the-know people have warned about it and there's a rumor going around that the "tech bros" and billionaires are building bunkers. Yeah, you better believe it, and they are not putting AI into their new homes.

Currently AI is actually something called LLMs (large language models) that take the sum of human knowledge and apply it to the task/question at hand. The models are trained with myriads of data on any/all subjects, often skimming the Internet and vacuuming up the relevant information. In other words, it is drawing from what is already known, already human knowledge. AI is not necessarily visionary, yet.

Right now, AI is being released into the world through art/music/entertainment/creative endeavors as well as many business and medical processes. For the creative arts AI models are trained on the music and such that humans have already created. It is not that much different than the way musicians trained themselves since the beginning of time. I learned to play songs by dropping the needle on the record over and over. Today we just create a loop in software so that we can learn to play a segment or passage. It's the same thing; one is just slick and easy... AI 'learns' in seconds, where human musicians spend hours and hours on one song. AI draws on the patterns human composers have designed and is able to make something new, no different than human songwriter always has. There is however something missing in AI music. It's hard to put your finger on it, but it is not inspiring and can sound disingenuous. It lacks the spark that often makes a song special. It lacks the humanity, whatever that means. I admit it is getting better all the time. I suspect that "live" music will have a renaissance even if the music they play out is "pumped out" by AI. People crave authenticity.

There's been plenty of focus on AI replacing humans and taking jobs. So far it hasn't hit the work force that hard - yet. When people have no job and rely on government for basic sustenance the end is in sight. Society suffers with crime and poverty spreading out from the cities and eventually blanketing the entire country. If we go back to being an industrial society to put people to work and get them off hand outs how long before AI ushers in advanced automation and kills those jobs too?

Don't even think of what overzealous military contractors could unleash... It's spooky.

Honestly, it is the wild wild west out there in regards to AI. Put this potentially powerful tool in the hands of evil doers and we can't even imagine the damage that could be done. Try to imagine the entire electric grid going down because an AI program was slick enough to over ride all the controls preventing transformer overload. The U.S. doesn't even make transformers anymore. It would take years to replace them. That's just one scenario - it would be devastating and would probably destroy America all by itself. Is there any doubt we need Cynthia right now.

All kidding aside is it not clear by now that AI could destroy us? It really could. Believe it. What isn't clear is how to put controls on it. Let's hope something floats to the surface that will give us - humanity - some guidance on that. Hmmm, maybe we could put AI on that.

SPLC - Liberal Darling funds Hate

by Craig Willms

The SPLC is one of the ancient social institutions that we just take for granted is doing God's work. Well... No. I have almost no interest in things like the SPLC or NAACP or any number of other non-profits that have been around for decades and decades. It's just not anything that affects me or is intended for people like me. Fine. I assume they are doing something positive. Not so fast.

The SPLC has been implicated in funding the "hate" groups they fight against at every turn. They are being charged with using the money they raised from their large donor network to actually pay the leadership of the very groups they purport to fight against. This is like the exterminator letting loose bugs and rats while waiting for the customer to call to have them eradicate the pests. Bugs and rats are a pretty good descriptor for the SPLC.

Of course they would be the darlings of the liberal left. The SPLC always oppose conservatives and Republicans, likening both to the racists they 'pretend' to fight against. These people are the ones who advocate for the downtrodden while doing everything in their power to ensure the so-called downtrodden can never claw their way up, lest they won't need the SPLC anymore.

The ones who should be angry are their donors and supporters. If history is any guide their funding will only increase as this scrutiny will be called a right-wing hit job. Mark my words, in six months the SPLC will declare record breaking donations have come in.

It is not the right-wing or conservatives that are funding violent extremist groups like the Ku Klux Klan and Nazi organizations - it's the SPLC. Millions of donor dollars are funneled directly into hate groups; the same groups the left cites are outgrowths of conservative and MAGA movements. (They are not.)

How much more evidence do we need for Americans to realize the hard-left is an enemy of the people, just like their mainstream media is?

Destroy America - the Lamm Plan

by Craig Willms

"My Plan to Destroy America"
by Richard Lamm (70's-80's)
Fmr Colorado Governor
  1. encourage Bi-lingualism
  2. create Multiculturalism
  3. add uneducated underclass
  4. Big Foundations to fund victimology narrative
  5. Dual citizenship
  6. Make it taboo to criticize this plan
  7. make impossible to enforce immigration laws
  8. censor Victor Davis Hansen's Mexifornia
This is the Democratic party platform, the real one. While it's not the entire platform, since tax the rich is not mentioned, but it is the foundation of the Hate America plan. Nearly every one of these points is in place in 2026 America.

Every point in this plan is devised to cleave America into pieces, pieces that can be steered and controlled. Notice that Christianity is not mentioned. Why, well too many Christians agree with this list and the inclusion of Christian bigotry would turn them off. Be rest assured that ultimately Christianity is in the cross hairs. Like the felling of a mighty oak tree the leftists/Democrats seek to cut Christianity off from its roots, leaving the landscape barren and the forest floor to be scorched by the fires of hell.

Number 4 on this list may be the most insidious. We often think of foundations and NGOs as benign and charitable, they are anything but. They are cover for anti-American, anti West ideologies. Foundations are the playground of the billionaires, tax free havens with which they can attempt to influence the world with a sheen of good intentions and charity. Any real investigation of these foundation and NGO's will bear that out. The really insidious part is that the NGO's - non governmental organizations is that they are often funded by government tax money (or government debt). Our money is going to support groups that hate America, that hate you, particularly you white people. In 2025 the Trump administration and Elon Musk turned the spotlight on them and cut them off from most taxpayer money. The left, the Democrats went nuts. Exposed!

I didn't know anything about Richard Lamm, but I don't have to because clearly in 2026 his replacement is Gov. Walz of Minnesota. I hate to use the word hate, but I hate Walz and everything he stands for. We need only to look at the results of what Lamm has done. Colorado, once one of the greatest states in the U.S., along with California, today Colorado is a dying due to these 8 steps. California speaks for itself...

The last time I was in Colorado 8 years ago I was completely disgusted. It was so depressing compared to my wonderful trips to Colorado in the 80s. Is California and Colorado what we want for the rest of America and the West? My home state of Minnesota is on this exact path and the sheeple keep voting for this because they seem to believe in these 8 steps??? I don't get it. To be fair, Minnesota is a 50/50 state - yet for the last 25 years the state government has been totally dominated by the Democrats. Fully half the people are opposed to the DFL, but their (R) candidates never win. This is impossible in a fair, above the board system, which Minnesota is not.

WAKE UP people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Errata: March 2026

Well, he did it. Trump went to war with Iran. Israel came along too. In short order most of Iran's neighbors, having been attacked by Iran, are on the side of Israel. It's only just begun.

1.) The thing that's just been begun is the kinetic counterattack by the U.S. military, right. If you're being honest you must admit that Iran has been waging war on the U.S. and in particular on Israel since 1979. Everyone knows that. To call out Trump and Bibi's aggression without acknowledging Iran's war on the West is disingenuous.

A few month's ago the U.S. and Israel took out Iran's nuclear facilities, or much of it. The resistance was almost nil so that may have informed the U.S. as to when this campaign would be waged.

I am personally not thrilled about war anywhere or anytime, but enough is enough when it comes to Iran's offensive terrorism. I only hope it's a short campaign and we don't commit ground troops.

2.) The massive fraud and corruption scandal in Minnesota has exploded. It has reached at minimum 9 billion dollars. The governor and the AG have been in front congress for a show trial sound bite generator. Since these people have no shame, no shame whatsoever they are defiant in light of proof that they at least screwed the pooch or were totally complicit. It's sickening and par for the course in this state. It's come to light that this fraud - these frauds - were detected and reported and high officials ignored them, or moved the people raising concerns to different positions or fired them. To date I don't believe any state official has been held to account - not one. Congressional hearings only result in penalties if they are Trump officials.

If, no let's make that when, the Democrats are reelected it will be proof that Minnesotans are deeply irrational and are frankly irredeemably stupid.

If you're worried about 'ooooohhhh the Republicans' getting power. Be assured they are stupid people too but remember that Democrats are not only incompetent, but they are also unrepentant fraudsters stealing taxpayer money and giving it away to immigrants to be sent off to foreign countries. So, it's either stupid or stupid and corrupt and arrogant. You pick.

3.) Since the Minnesota medicare/medicaid fraud has been uncovered it's turning up in other states as well. Surprise surprise. California and Maine come to mind. My guess it's everywhere, but 'Minnesota stupid' has shined the light on it, and rang the bell. So far it's all in the blue states. Like I said, surprise surprise.

Last thing: God help us all..................

Russia isolated, Europe downgraded, China pressured

by Craig Willms

Watching the world churn in the Trump era is fascinating.

I must say just listening to Trump is hard on the psyche. I try to avoid it. He talks all the time and 99% of it is pure egoism. He's pulling his Mohamed Ali schtick - "I'm the Greatest".  It's off putting, and it's possibly used as a distraction, that's what I tell myself anyway as I change the channel. What does it buy him? Keeping his opposition, his enemies hopped up on hate must have a purpose. He catches many of his 'enemies' in blatant lies and overt hypocrisy. But what does that really get him? They, the liars, the hypocrites, are not going to suddenly like him. I can only conclude it's part of a game, a grand strategy to misdirect, to underestimate him.

We all know by now there are legions of paid protesters on standby to physically and vocally oppose everything he says and does. Some of them are in Congress, others in the media, but the Trump haters all live by one credo - Orange Man Bad. Fair enough. I get it, as I've said before I honestly can't stand listening to him talk either.

It's also obvious he has an agenda to change the world from the trajectory it was on. Thank God. The path was an ascendant China and a diminished United States and Europe. We can argue all day about the state of the capitalist paradigm and its horrible imperfection, but we can't avoid the tried and true and inevitable conclusion of a collectivist world, which is my friends, mass death and deprivation for all but the elites.

The world could not go on the way it was before Trump. The Biden puppet show was as embarrassing as it was pathetic. Watching Joe Biden conduct himself on the world stage was absurd. Those who allowed Biden to make those European trips should have been ashamed of themselves. This was the leader of the most powerful nation on Earth? The establishment, the media said nothing about Biden's incapacity until he removed himself from the campaign in the last hour. Shameful. Complicit...

We are less than one year into Trump's second (delayed) term, and the results are wild. First, right off, I'm discounting the notion that he's doing Israel's bidding. The world is not controlled by da Jooos. That aside I am amazed at the state of play on the world stage.

In just 11 months Trump - and it was Trump - boxed in Russia, with his latest play being the ouster of Maduro in Venezuela. Consider also that Assad is gone from Syria and the last prime Russian ally,  Iran is on the ropes. If Iran's theocracy falls Russia will be an island. The disgrace of the Irani defense forces allowing the US to decimate their nuclear program with ease is clearly at play here. Russia saw what the US did. Also, Trump, unlike another American president, is publicly encouraging the protests against the Ayatollahs this time.

The Ukraine war has depleted Russia's military, their access to men of fighting age is dwindling. Russia has a long history of sustaining and prevailing in war, it's not to be discounted, but without allies Russia is probably not considering expanding war beyond Ukraine.

In the West the powers that uphold the European Union are in turmoil. All are reeling from mass immigration, their suicidal energy policies and are now facing growing populist movements. The US under Trump is signaling - signaling hell - Europe is being told to defend themselves and pay for it themselves. The powers in Brussels and their relationships with the global bankers have been put on notice, the world order is changing. It will not be run out of Europe anymore.

The thing is Europe did this to themselves. You can blame it all on Donald Trump if you want, but it's poppycock, understand this: Trump is just a symptom. When the same mass immigration was tried in the US the American reaction was to elect Trump. At this point Europe is an anchor around America's neck, Trump is unshackling Europe from American protection.

On the other side of the world all indications point to an economically challenged China. For decades China has been propped up by American and European businesses. The payoff, access to a vast Chinese consumer market has never materialized, and it won't. In the process the Chinese have stolen enough technology and manufacturing skills to develop domestically owned enterprises, freezing out the foreign investors and devastating foreign industries. But now the chickens have come home to roost as they say. Trumps plan to reindustrialize North America and bring the supply chain into line with that vision is already happening. China's economy is suffering. Many aspects of China's meteoric economic rise over the past thirty years has included fakery or has been distorted by massive debt covering for the weakness of their meager consumer market. The stories of vast ghost cities are true, and the promise to the ordinary Chinese investors who financed them has evaporated. They face a population bomb of old people with too few young workers to support them. The same could be said about most of the first world, but it is much much worse in China. They killed a whole generation of babies.

The Venezuelan action affects China even more than Russia - Russia has its own oil. Trump did not put a halt to oil shipments to China through all of this. It's in no one's interest right now to hasten the collapse of China. It's most likely the same reason he is only encouraging protesters in Iran, as Iran is a main supplier of oil to the Asian Pacific nations.

There are a lot of balls in the air, and no one really knows where they will all land. If nothing else Trump is trying to ensure the United States won't be dragged down when the European ponzi scheme collapses and the Chinese economic implosion comes.

As for the opposition here in America it has come to a very curious situation. It seems that when the left and the Democrats - one and the same - speak, all they have is their empty virtue signaling. With regards to Trumps push to target illegal immigrants for deportation, specifically the criminals, the Democrats appear to support the criminals. To the monumental fraud by foreigners led into this country by Democrats, they appear to be supporting the fraudsters. When Trump went after the speed boats of the drug running narco-terrorists the Democrats vocally supported the narco-terrorists. When a patriotic young father and husband whose only crime was talking to young people and praising Jesus Christ was assassinated, they cheered. They can't help themselves; their hatred of one man exposes exactly what they are - and it's pathetic.

Errata: January 2026

by Craig Willms

Whoa, what a year it's been.

I honestly don't know what to make of what's going on. I freely admit that I have been poisoned by leftism and its predetermined righteousness that when common sense hit's me upside the head I automatically think something is wrong. The entrenchment of leftism in every single aspect of our beings has made me unwittingly compliant. Living in the surreal landscape of the Minneapolis clown show I feel like I've been slapped awake a half a dozen times. I guess this means I'm now "based" if being "based" means being confident, authentic, and unapologetically true to oneself, regardless of societal expectations or popular opinion. Leftism is all about compliance and fealty to the collective belief regardless of the facts. We can talk about the dearth of truth in the zeitgeist of the quasi-capitalist cronyism that actually does rule the world, but leftism pervades that as well.

1.) First, being Minnesotan since birth I see what leftism and the corruption that comes with it has done to the mentality of my state. That's why I was so, so happy that the worst governor in our history, maybe in the history of the United States has decided not to seek re-election (BTW he would have won). Now we just need him to resign and run off with his tail between his legs all the way to China. Today he is essentially a yapping chihuahua, nothing he has to say is relevant in the least. That anyone would support him in the wake of the scandal and fraud that has dragged our state into the national doghouse and made Minnesota a laughing stock is beyond me.

2.) The spectacle of a Trump sanctioned operation taking out Nick Maduro and his wife from inside a military compound in Venezuela was a demonstration beyond belief. But they got it done, a seemingly impossible task, with minimal damage and loss of life. Amazing. I strongly suspect the U.S. had inside help. I've since read articles and saw a documentary on what had happened to the once proud and quite rich Venezuelan nation to now realize it had ceased to be a functioning state. Venezuela was being propped up by foreign nations that had no intention of helping a beaten down Venezuelan population that is slowly starving to death. To know that average Venezuelans all over the world and those still in country are deliriously happy is all I need to know. Trump is in the process of saving them. Trump for his part, unfortunately, is once again talking and doing himself no favors - he needs to shut up. That said, I have hope that Venezuela will make a big comeback. Time will tell.

3.) An ICE agent shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis, once again putting Minnesota in national spotlight for all the wrong reasons. I saw the video and what I saw was a car ramming an ICE agent and that car being shot at by the agent. The woman, an anti-ICE activist, was confronting ICE in the course of doing their duty as a law enforcement agency. As the Brits would say she was engaging in a perversion of the course of justice. She used her car to block ICE vehicles from passage. When agents got out to confront her directly she used her car to thwart them, backing towards one agent then pulling forward to ram another. It was totally unfortunate, a sad loss of a life, but also totally avoidable. To say she asked for it sounds cruel, but that's exactly what she did. My message to all: If you see ICE - go the other way.

That's all, for now... More later, the year is still young.

The Peril of Luxury Beliefs

 by Craig Willms

In the modern West, Europe, The Americas, the Anglosphere daily life has gotten so abstract that we've forgotten or have completely put out of our minds how brutal this life can be. When apocalyptic novels and movies that have been around for the better part of a hundred years, remind us of how quickly and how completely our civilized world can go bad, we call it entertainment. After world wars were fought leaving behind bombed out cities and destitution for millions, we look back and call it history. We watch on our TV's screens the modern destruction of far-off wars, we call it the news. We are insulated from it all by the infrastructure that man has built around us that ensures we have plenty of food and water, abundant energy and a safe, warm place to lay our heads at night.

It's safe to say we live in the lap of luxury. Wonderful, isn't it? It is, until we forget or outright reject the fundamentals that brought us here. The "until" part has passed us, in fact it passed us some 50 years ago. The West is dying; it's a slow suicidal death. We've succumbed to a set of luxury beliefs, and we refuse to take off our rose-colored glasses long enough to see the train barreling down the tracks straight at us.

It's not the first time this has happened in human history. Many dynasties and empires have come and gone due to ignoring these signs. The scale is different this time. The suffering and death will be legion if we don't make a course correction, soon...

Luxury beliefs as commonly understood are ideas and opinions largely held by an insulated upper class that are devoid of the natural consequences that ordinary people face in day-to-day life. These beliefs can be out of touch with the realities faced by those less privileged.

One would have to impose these modern assumptions on early attempts at civilization tens of thousands of years ago to grasp the utter absurdity of such opinions. The nature of being an early pioneer or settler is that you face challenges and severe hardship because you must confront the world in its most elemental form, where nothing has been done for you, no one has laid the groundwork for what you must do to survive. In the beginning, life is raw, dangerous and wild. Day in and day out it's a struggle just to survive. You don't have the "luxury" to believe otherwise. This reality creates a practical, rational mindset that guides your actions, that inform your beliefs. Anything that doesn't help with survival is left behind; it has to be.

You have to accept the reality of the world as it actually is. You can't adapt it to your fantasy of the world as you'd like it. There are the laws of nature that don't care about your wishes or the fairytales you tell yourself. How many times do you have you hear "the world doesn't work that way" when something doesn't come out the irrational way you wanted it to?

The prime obstacle here for the modern human is to accept that there are gender roles. By a roll of the dice, we are born either a male or a female. That's fact, not opinion. Everything else is a social construct. The inherent perceived unfairness is also a fact. The nature of the roles are adaptable, but that there are two genders, and only two is not.

Our early pioneer selves could not escape this reality, the differences between men and women. Each had their strengths and their deficiencies and each had to put these traits to the best use to help the group survive. Only women can have babies. Men cannot become pregnant, end of story. Only women can produce the milk needed for those babies. Men don't lactate, ever. What men can do is create conditions for the woman and the baby to survive and thrive. Safety first. That's what women and babies need. This is something men are suited for. It isn't rocket science.

Only men had the strength to fight off male invaders and protect the village so that the women and children can have that place to grow and to flourish. If men don't do this they lose their society to other men, their mates are enslaved and the children killed.

The reality of these gender roles was an absolute necessity then and they're absolutely necessary now. If we ignore them we lose our civilization. We are watching it happen. Our boys are no longer needed to fend off invaders as a intrinsic part of their environment. They've grown weak and aimless. Our pro women anti-men policies have only made it worse for boys. For the better part of two centuries we've used team sports to fill that role, just as the Romans and the Greeks did during times of peace. That has been enough for us in the time of plenty to keep the playfields thriving, except where feminization has taken hold. Women inherently don't like the implication of violence in their boys and with feminist ethos permeating everything fewer and fewer boys are allowed to be aggressive (which is in their nature) and act out. So, boys are labeled ADHD and drugged. Enough boys - and - men, are still encouraged to compete that we see team sports, but the dream and striving for those not quite good enough to 'make the team' is gone. Playgrounds are empty everywhere in the West. Those boys retreat into videogames and internal fantasies that they don't even try to progress into manhood or fatherhood. It so bad that they are afraid of girls. Or worse they've lost all attraction to girls. They are called man boys. The lost boys...

Girls, now empowered by the successes of modernity, don't necessarily see motherhood as an inevitable trajectory anymore. They've been pushed to obtain status, wealth and power, pushing out everything that was the traditional realm of a woman. The society that feminization has left behind is often hostile to babies, in direct opposition to everything that makes women so special, so appealing. This is playing out before our eyes and not enough people are alarmed about it. The ogres on the anti-men side have become more and more belligerent and contentious toward traditional roles that they revel in the thought of murdering babies if for nothing more than to make men feel helpless, worthless. Do they ever wonder why women now buoyed by professional success are so unhappy and dissatisfied? A society like this cannot survive.

Transgenderism was born of this mindset. Obviously gay and lesbian lifestyles are not conducive to propagation of the species. These things if left safely on the periphery of society where these people could be left alone to thrive in their own way will not sink the human race. But instead they are pushed front and center and you are not allowed to object or even have concerns. Even as we watch human fertility and the desire to procreate disappear we are not allowed to try and prevent this destructive mindset from taking over the culture. These are the kind of luxury beliefs that will destroy the human race if left unchecked.

So, as we tried to figure out how things work in this world, the basic laws of nature, the laws of science, biology, physics, chemistry, and so forth we've adapted ourselves and the society to what we've built. We've tamed the dangers and relieved the scarcity for much of the world, to point where we created a comfort level that makes us forget where we came from. We condemn ourselves for the inequities of our unenlightened antiquity in a blanket of perpetual guilt. We are killing the good and the bad. Today we paper over the laws of nature, the survival of the fittest.

You can say to yourself what's the problem, so what if women don't want babies, so what if men are insufficient and uninterested in protecting the their homes. So what? More luxury beliefs. There are men in the world who are still masculine and women who are still interested in motherhood. They are currently invading our lands, and it is an invasion, the Muslims in Europe and the Hispanic, Asians and Muslims here in America - and we are letting them, inviting them in. They will take what you don't protect, they will take your place, gladly.

If our forbearers had indulged in any of this nonsense, our civilization would have never materialized. They would've died out. It wasn't possible for them to have such anti-reality luxury beliefs.

In today's world the societal elites, the uber-wealthy actually still live by the laws of the jungle up in their stratospheric realm. Men are men and they are powerful and aggressive in business and in the bedroom. Their women bear their children knowing they'll never have to struggle in a hard scrabble world in order for their children to survive and thrive. They want for nothing. Yet these are the thought leaders and wealth behind the destructive agenda's that result in the above paragraphs.

So many people have been born into comfort, security and prosperity, never having to worry about deprivation or unmet needs. From that position luxury beliefs cost them and their club nothing. Their insular world never meets ours. It is the rabble who feel the consequences of the anti-reality beliefs the societal elite impose on us. It's the aftereffects of such beliefs that only those on the lowest wrung of society bear the cost.

Think of what no-bail laws have done to already stressed and depressed neighborhoods. Letting criminals, known dangerous criminals out to rob and murder again doesn't affect the hoity toity, it affects the poor. The policies that lead to this are luxury beliefs, although a nod to reality would call them insane beliefs.

The holy grail of these luxury beliefs is of course 'Climate Change' or more recently 'Climate Crisis!!!". The crisis is that people are finally seeing it for what it is, a grift, the biggest grift of all. They have put this false flag - a deceptive act or event designed to mislead others about the true source or intention behind it - front and center until it has become a integral part of western culture. The true intention is the destruction of the West. All of these so-called luxury beliefs ultimately aim at this goal. We are watching it happen to Europe as we speak. They've given up on Christianity which brought Western culture to the pinnacle of human development, and in it's absence they've inserted climate - Gaia into the modern zeitgeist.

Climate change, once called global warming, once called the coming ice age, is the ultimate guilt trip, where just being alive and using resources to stay alive puts you on trial. The elites, the ultra wealthy, the architects of this show trial continue to jet set around the globe in their private planes visiting climate change conferences before returning to one of their many giant homes. But you and yours are the guilty ones because you put gas in your ten year old car on the way to spend your meager paychecks at the grocery store. Yes, luxury beliefs are entirely hypocritical.

Almost all of the global leftist agenda is an extension of these luxury beliefs. In recent years the call to defund the police is probably the most destructive for those closest to the ground. The police face humanity at its worse, everyday. To hold them to impossible standards while they wrestle uncooperative perpetrators into submission is wholly unfair. Experiments with non law enforcement community service officers are always a disaster. The police are one of the only hedges we have against the criminal world and the leftists want to neuter them, eliminate them. But the elites will be the first to call the 'authorities' when they are wronged.

Pat yourself on the back if you hold these beliefs and are proud and feeling righteous. When reality strikes you in the face as the world devolves into chaos and brutality remember how it felt. It'll be the last pleasant thought you have.

Mr. Trump, please shut up...

by Craig Willms

There he goes again. Mr. Trump cannot seem to detect where his personal thoughts end and his presidential thoughts (should) begin. In the aftermath of the devastating murder of Rob Reiner and his wife at the hand of his own son, Mr. Trump opened his big mouth - again.

There's a time and place for everything. In the event someone you personally dislike dies, it's not the time to air you personal grievances. Trump got on social media and pretended offer his condolences and then as he always does, made it about himself. He complained that Reiner, one of his biggest critics in Hollywood, had a bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It was not untrue, but it was not the time to say it. What a jerk thing to do.

Many of us were shocked (well, not really) when Democrats and their uber-left brethren literally cheered when Charlie Kirk was assassinated. I'll even venture a guess that Rob Reiner was privately sympathetic - since Charlie was a Trump supporter. If he was, he held his tongue. Trump should have done the same.

I was a fan of a lot of Rob Reiner's work, particularly his movies This is Spinal Tap and The Princess Bride. I was not a fan of his politics. So what, no one cares what I think about Rob Reiner's politics.

Godspeed Mr. and Mrs. Reiner, it's another sad day for the country, for the world.

Call them Banksters, it's as good a label as any...

by Craig Willms

They keep us divided, they keep us at each other's throats, they keep us fighting amongst ourselves. You can call them The Banksters, it's as good a name as any. They could be referred to as the Globalists as they certainly have orchestrated and benefited from the globalist agenda. They are a small but powerful group of men on both sides of the Atlantic that truly control the world, and they have for the better part of a century. National governments in most of the western nations are set up to transparently serve The Banksters. Most of our political leaders are just actors and pretenders - it is as they say, political theater. I suspect that the politicians know what they really are as they set out to stir the pot in order to keep us all jacked-up. They keep it hidden because in reward they become rich beyond their wildest dreams.

The Banksters were on the cusp of 1984-style control of the world. Suppressed speech and social control through the use of surveillance with threats of incarceration already exists is some counties today. The advent of digital ID and a so-called cashless society is to be the final nail in our coffin. They obviously control global banking, they also control what we think and believe as they ultimately control the media and are the power behind the Internet ecosystem and of course, social media. As long as the hoi polloi are concentrating their ire on each other no one is looking at them. There are outliers and outsiders who keep challenging them. Think Vladimir Putin, think a Xi Jinping, think the Ayatollah among others. No surprise there. Now think Donald Trump! Yes indeed, it's not that Trump is in league with the others, but he is a sworn enemy of The Banksters just the same. Can The Banksters reach their objective of complete control before the veil is fully lifted? Time will tell.

They have, since the inception of the globalist age and before, used war among other actions to advance their cause. They manipulate money and currency until there's nothing left to squeeze out of any particular locality, then whip up a war, invading another sovereign nation to steal their resources. Rinse and repeat. For decades the U.S. has been their bludgeon. That is changing before our eyes.

This is where Trump comes into the fray. If you've listened to what Trump has been saying for decades, long before he became the bloviator in chief, he's been decrying the globalist agenda that's been advanced by The Banksters for decades. His contention is that America is being ripped off and severely diminished as an industrial power. Coming on the heels of the America hating, socialist friendly Obama, Trump blundered toward the White House not really expecting to win, clearly. His bull in the china shop routine emboldened his detractors. The alarm bells rang among The Banksters and they jumped into action to stop him at all costs. No need to list all the schemes they used to discredit or incarcerate Trump, we only need to cite Russia Russia Russia. To a degree it certainly stymied him but it didn't seem to be enough to sink the ship. The conspiracy minded among us were not shocked when Covid-19 bloomed into existence just about the time the reelection machine was about to be revved up. It enabled the puppeteers to meddle with the 2020 election apparatus and rather suddenly Trump was out. The Banksters and their globalist cheerleaders had done it! Now with their dummy propped up behind the Resolute Desk the final push had begun.

In a twist of fate the marionette strings frayed and Biden fell off the rocking horse. With Covid-19 in the rearview the tide began to turn. It crashed down with a splash when Elon Musk purchased Twitter and removed the censorship shackles, showing that it could be done. It can't be overstated what this one move did to the narrative. Meanwhile Trump, having beaten back the dogs was poised to face Biden in a rematch. We all known what happened next.

With Trump back in power, the gloves came off. He and his team were ready this time, the learning curve behind them. The Globalist's agenda if not exposed to the light is at least being chased from the shadows. Britain and the rest of the European anti-Semites could hide behind "the Jews are controlling the world" for only so long, Trump is having none of it. The bottomless pit of U.S. arms and money was coming to an end. Trump wanted the wars to end, and if not ended, then U.S. weapons would be purchased not given away.

Trump's team helped broker peace deals in several wars we weren't even being told about as well as the Hamas/Israeli war, all while giving the Iraqis a good thumping. For Ukraine and Russia there's been no lack of effort on Trump's part. He's not just saying things, he's doing things.

The end of globalization is upon us. The world will still be a global marketplace but not dictated out of the European "club" in Davos Switzerland with its North American members. Via self-inflicted wounds Europe is destroying itself - Trump is merely helping them. With a hollowed out Europe gone as a global force it leaves only the U.S. and China. No other centers of gravity exist. One would hope you'd be rooting for the U.S.

The Banksters won't go easy. Their network is immensely powerful. In all likelihood they'll outlast Trump and things will resume on the same trajectory as before the Trump-age. Before Trump their goal was to get their hands on Russia's resources (that's always been their goal). They foresaw a war between Russia and Ukraine draining Russia's war capacity with a bonus of the potentiality of Putin's government collapsing. They've been thwarting the push for peace at every turn. Ukraine is a sacrifice, The Banksters care nothing for Ukrainians. The corruption of Ukraine preceded Putin's invasion by a decade or two. It was NATO sabre rattling by the EU and the Americans that ultimately forced Putin to act when he did. Trump inherited this war, he didn't start it.

Britain's military is currently training with Finland at the Russian border. Finland is a new NATO member but they have never been afraid of Russia - in fact they have been trading across the Russian border for hundreds of years. Now suddenly Finland is partnering with Britain in the event Russia invades? Something smells here. Britain has meddled in Russian affairs forever. Is it any wonder that the Russia Russia Russia affair was born in London and sold to Hillary Clinton to smear Trump in 2016. London is the financial center for The Banksters, so understand where this is all coming from. Putin is no saint, but he's been provoked and provoked and provoked again.

The Trump administration has put The Banksters on notice. His detractors on both sides of the Atlantic think their hyper-rhetoric is a viable defense against his bloviating. They take the bait but Trump's rhetoric is merely to cover his consequential actions. Trump's real "warp speed" isn't a vaccination for Covid-19, it's thwarting The Banksters at every turn. Almost everything he's done in 10 months is with an eye toward dismantling their brand of globalism.

Ten years has gone by since Trump walked down the escalator and he's still standing despite every thing they've thrown at him - including a bullet. He's currently targeting Venezuela. Why? The war on drugs? No, he's trying to interrupt the narco-money flow that serves The Banksters. The money that flows through the Caiman Islands and the Bahamas etc etc, is laundered and skimmed to benefit the globalist machine. The American media is ignoring it, if they can even comprehend it. Anything that can whip up hatred towards Trump benefits The Globalists.

The media's reverence for the EU knows no bounds. They are willfully blind to the disharmony in every EU country as well as the UK. Average citizen's in Europe are so disheartened by what is happening to them that they actually pray for someone like Trump in their own countries. As with the Banksters, the EU elites are entrenched and powerful and seemingly do not care at all what the citizens want.

Native born people want the mass immigration to stop. It is precisely what is destroying Europe as we know it. Biden's puppeteers had instituted the same strategy in the U.S. while claiming that only congressional legislation could stop illegal immigration. How convenient for them that Congress is totally dysfunctional and has been for decades. Obviously that presumption was false, Trump had the borders closed in a few short months.

The obvious conclusion to all this is that Western Civilization is being destroyed, and the native populations of Europe, North America and the Anglo world are being replaced. The upper crust and the university crowd scoff at this, but the rest of us have eyes. We can see how The Banksters through coordinated actions have discouraged white populations from reproducing. They pushed women wage war on maleness and not so subtly raised the cost of homes out of reach of young people. No harmony, no homes, no babies. It's beyond me why powerful white Europeans and their kindred spirits in America want this. Self hatred? Or do they think pliable populations of downtrodden immigrants will shut up and allow them their ivory towers to live like kings and queens while the rest live hand to mouth, gratefully so? Good luck with that.

Me, the conspiracy nut that I am, believe it's the final solution to Christianity and Judaism. The Devil's plan.

addendum: I do not posit that Donald Trump is some kind of hero or that he is above reproach. Frankly I wish he'd just shut up, I can't even listen to him for more than a minute or two. I am contending that he is doing what has to be done, however clumsily. The borders had to be closed. The hard leftism choking America had to be challenged. The military had to be rescued from wokism and social engineering. The corruption of USAID and other bottomless pit programs had to be stopped. Wars had to be stopped. Climate crisis nonsense had to be revealed for what it is, a fairytale and a grift. Transgenderism had to be called out. And The Banksters have to be resisted. The list goes on and on. These among many other serious issues had to be addressed and turned back toward reality. Our country was tumbling down the wrong path. Since Congress is doing nothing and hasn't for decades - someone has to act.

When LA fell people yawned, What about NY?

 by Craig Willms

When LA fell people yawned, no one seemed to care. NYC is on the edge; will people shrug and say nothing to see here? LA was the center of glitz and glamor and Hollywood movies. Today they hardly even make movies in LA anymore and the city is teeming with the homeless, drugs and no-go areas. Up the coast, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle are rotting from the head down. Again, no one seems to care. Anyone who actually did care grew frustrated and moved away. California has lost a lot of people and a lot of businesses. No one calls it the Golden State anymore.

New York City is another thing completely. America's largest city is the very heart of capitalism. It's not make-believe, it's not Hollywoodland, it doesn't get any more real than NYC. In California the elites and the favored live in pretty nice conditions, same for New York. The hoi polloi struggle to stay safe in their homes. There comes a tipping point where no amount of physical security, CCTV and private security, is enough. A significant part California is at or near the tipping point, New York has some time. Tick tock tick tock.

Mamdani's election as mayor of New York City ensures that more of what LA has, homelessness, drugs and no-go zones will dominate the city of Wall Street. It's already happened to London, the other heartbeat of capitalism. London is not what it once was. Brits don't even feel at home in London anymore.

California is well known for its hippies and flakes in and out of government. By contrast New York is serious business. You don't see faddish trends come out of the Big Apple, except maybe that deal where young black men wear their pants halfway down their ass.

At this time, it would seem pretty unfair to declare Mamdani a failure. Maybe, maybe not. As with all communists he's a pretender, pushing pie-in-the-sky platitudes over actual reality. His smug smile is really all he has. Nothing that comes out of his mouth is original. There is no groundbreaking strategy that's been overlooked by countless leftists that will somehow transform NYC into a socialist paradise. The likely outcome is more akin to the the 1981 movie Escape from New York than a new Garden of Eden.

Many of the talking heads on the right are blaming Mamdani on the ill-educated youth. This is not untrue; however, the world just can't seem to end its obsession with Marx and his ism. Never has there been a fantasy born of a of a proper goon that has captured the disaffected like Marxism has. While it's clear that the 'powers that be' in the elite class have stacked the deck in nearly every aspect of life, people can't seem to understand Marxism is not any kind of answer. So, to represent the urban youth we get the smarmy Mamdani's and brain-dead AOC's and nasty Ilhan Omar's, none of whom are clever or exceptional in any way. It's all a mystery to me.

Young men who are frightened to death of girls are beginning to ignore the socialist skirts they normally would've chased for a dawning recognition that liberalism, Marxism and the Democratic Party are not for them. The ones who put down the video game controller long enough are starting to swing rightward. It isn't enough to overcome the leftists in the urban core, but they were enough to help Trump take the White House. Not that Trump is a nirvana or anything, but he may just be more than the speed bump George W. Bush was. In the first ten months of Trump's 2nd term, he has seemed to target the entrenched leftist bureaucracy, something no one has ever done before. Mamdani is a reaction to Trump's moves.

God, we pray for New York City. No one wants to see New York fall into the dystopian hellscape that parts of LA are, but we need for Mamdani and his "Democratic Socialism" to fail spectacularly. I don't see that happening without NYC falling apart. Sorry New York - but you voted for him.

It's a Plastic World

by Craig Willms

"I want to say one word to you. Just one word. Plastics. There's a great future in plastics."

                                                                                                    ~ The Graduate

In the film The Graduate, the character Mr. McGuire, played by Walter Brooke, advises Dustin Hoffman's character, Benjamin Braddock to invest in plastics. The claim was that plastic would change everything. And... It did.

So here we are nearly sixty years later, and we have a problem with plastic. Do we? Really? The answer is yes, but not in the way you might think.

When the plastics industry (read: oil industry) started getting grief about the environmental problem plastic was causing they tried righteously to get in front of it by pushing for recycling. The industry co-opted the symbol we all now associate with recycling - the triangular shaped looping arrow symbol. The symbol was not trademarked so they were able to put in on all plastic products. They categorized their products by type and assigned a number to each type. Today consumers see the symbol with a number on it and assume it means it's recyclable. In truth only two of the seven or eight types of plastics consumers come into contact with are actually recyclable. So, we dutifully recycle, looking for the symbol regardless of the number on it and toss it in the recycle bin. We have done this for 30+ years now. It's so ingrained that when my daughter was a child, she asked me ruefully, "Daddy, do we save the world?" I immediately said, "yes, honey, we recycle".

So we happily go about life thinking we're doing our part to save the world, feeling oh so good about ourselves. It's all a lie. Very, very little of the plastic we so carefully collect and sort actually gets recycled. Most of it is either dumped in a landfill, burned or put on garbage barges to be shipped to a third world country where it piles up or gets dumped in the ocean. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch anyone? The industry and the government have known this for years, for decades, but no one says a thing.

The truth is recycling plastic has caused far worse environmental damage than just treating as trash and burying it in a landfill. Additionally, we get to pay for it.

If it's well known in the industry and the bureaucracy that recycling plastics is a fool's errand, then why are we still doing it? Bureaucracy, say no more. One civic administrator responded to this question honestly and unironically by saying "the consumer demands it". What? Did I hear that right? Indeed, the consumer is conditioned like a well-trained like a sea lion at the zoo. People would bark and clap their flippers if their cities suddenly dropped plastic recycling. Yes, even if it saved them money.

It's beyond me the sheer stupidity of that true statement. It was the government and the industry with the help of the media that trained the human animal to always recycle plastic. When are we going to face reality and stop this environmentally damaging practice?

Plastic is a miracle product, it has enhanced our lives, made things safer and lighter, easier to transport and so much more. Like most things it's not a win/win proposition, it comes with trade-offs. Plastic waste is one of those trade-offs. Additionally the issue of micro-plastics in the environment and in our bodies may ultimately be the worst of it. Studies of micro-plastics point to the recycling process being the ultimate culprit, making these microscopic particle airborne and easily inhalable. It's a real problem. The ultimate solution would be to make consumer products out of bio-degradable plastics. I haven't a clue the science or economics of something like that, if it were simple, it probably would have been done by now. Until that's a reality we need to be smart about this issue. Currently the best solution is to bury it in a landfill. Burning it, shredding it or shipping it to ill-equipped third world countries is illogical and environmentally damaging.

Countless hands are in the till on this one. There are reverse incentives to do the right thing, the almighty dollar front and center. In the name of the consumer, they keep up the charade of plastic recycling, while the Earth is trashed and polluted. One wonders how many other fairy tales we've been told.

You might be saying wait a minute, we're supposed to throw plastic in the trash? The landfills will be full! No, not even close. Landfills have a tiny footprint compared to other human activities. Liken all the land mass on Earth to a football field. By the year 3000 we will have a landfill that stretches all the way to the one-foot line. It's just not a real problem. The problem is in our heads; we've been brainwashed into recycling plastic. It's illogical and damaging to the environment - that's the fact.

A hedge against the pitiless, indifferent universe: God

by Craig Willms

hedge

/hej/ noun
 1. A row of closely planted shrubs or low-growing trees forming a fence or boundary

2. A line of people or objects forming a barrier

3. A means of protection or defense

In an earlier article called "The Mental Fabric" I wrote in summation: God is the hedge against the cold, cruel impersonal world. It was an attempt to describe just what God ultimately is to us. So many people are 'believe it when I see it' type of people, needing something tangible, solid - something called proof. The proof is out there... In spades

I think it's clear that faith is learned, not innate, not instinctual. We start learning it the moment we are born whether we know it or not. We all have faith in one thing or another. We quickly learn to have faith in our mother by her demonstrations of love and caring. We've learned to have faith that the sun will rise in the morning, that sort of thing. This kind of faith is easy, we see it, we experience it.

Faith in the unseen, what's in another's heart or head is another thing entirely.

Many learn to have faith in God, and many don't. Just because some reject the idea of God altogether doesn't mean God isn't real. You ask, isn't God something humanity made up? Possibly, but it doesn't change the fact that God, or some "Godlike" conceptual construct is intrinsic to human development in a civilized world.

Well known atheist Richard Dawkins once wrote, and I'm paraphrasing, the universe is exactly as we'd expect it to be if it were undirected, with a cold, pitiless indifference toward everything. He was just calling as he saw it. Upon examination it does seem this is true. Life on Earth, the only place we know it to be, is brutal and compassionless. Yet humanity has thrived to the tune of eight billion of us roaming the Earth today. We've tamed nature to some degree and we are now reaching out to the stars. How was this accomplished when nature clearly has it out for us?

All alone in the wilderness you would likely face an early death. You pair up and then form a clan in order to survive a difficult and unforgiving world. Strength in numbers. Ultimately though, you stand alone, self-preservation reigns supreme. It's in the defiance, the selfless ability to sacrifice your own well being to help another that provides witness to the very spark of divinity within you, the recognition that God is in you. When the self-sacrifice a mother bears toward her children and a father for his family is extended outward, a community is formed. The recognition that your sacrifices, freely giving of yourself, giving of your resources with genuine motives elevates everyone in your presence. This is the divine, this is God among us. There is a reason charity is associated with the Godly.

If nature favors the survival of the fittest as you were taught, why would you chance helping the weak when it could lead to your own demise? Where does this human decency come from? Of course there are many reasons acting in a kind, cooperative manner would help ensure survival for you and your children. But many go above and beyond without any personal benefit, as if it's the right thing to do... So, there is a right thing and a wrong thing?

Doing right or doing wrong is clear, recognizable for what it is. We call it morality, and it's made clear to us at a fairly early age. With all it's grayness we know if our actions are moral, in our heart of hearts we know if what we are doing is right. We choose to reject, or at least suppress our better selves when we act immorally. We often hide or obfuscate our misbehavior. Why would we do that? You know why.

So if you are confronted by those who would belittle your faith, your belief in goodness, your belief in God by citing the
bearded old man in the clouds, or your imaginary friend called Jesus, ignore their 14-year-olds argument, they are as ignorant as a teenager. You know the God presence in you, and it's your choice to accept God or reject God.

It's as obvious as the nose on your face that many, many people reject God, they push down the inherent goodness in their own heart, as they push it down in everyone around them. Too many corporate chieftains and political figures crave power and wealth over simple grace and humility. These leaders attract people like themselves. This is how evil grows in all institutions, even, I dare say, the church. Self-interest trumps self sacrifice.

Such is the problem of evil. A rejection of the God inside us. We are inundated with mixed messages in this modern world, where good and evil are inverted and good, Godly people are often ignored or are treated as the real weirdos.
When you watch the people responding to a disaster, putting themselves in danger, going above and beyond, notice how they outnumber the looters and destroyers. There are so many good people - they don't get recognition, nor do they want it, just know they are there. It's all made to seem that the compromised outnumber those who honor the God presence inside them, but they don't. Good people with their love and kindness far outnumber the opposite.

 *****

Lastly, there are those who unequivocally reject the notion of God, especially a Judeo/Christian God, but they are clearly good people. What about them? They are fine. Deep down they believe in the power of good over evil, and act accordingly. Rabbis, pastors and teachers are guides toward truth, guides to righteousness - but not everyone needs a guide. I can't speak to other practiced religions; I do however have a belief that these people know the God deep down in their souls whether they profess belief in such things or not. Their inherent love and goodness is quite enough.

It's in the Box, or is it?

 by Craig Willms

I was at the butcher shop the other day waiting for the butcher to put my order together when in walks a guy and his wife. He said "we're picking up a big order that Charlie put together for us." He was chatting up the butcher about this and that as Charlie was digging boxes out of the cooler. He laughed, "well, at least I'll get a couple of good boxes out of the deal." Just then I knew he was a kindred spirit.

I think there's more of us box collectors out there than we thought. There are a bunch of us men who can spot a good box when we see one. Oh yeah, we take a lot of shit from our wives and other people, but in a pinch when a good (appropriate) box is needed we've got it.

I store mine in an upstairs spare bedroom, maybe a few out in the garage too. A decent, well-constructed cardboard box is invaluable. Every so often I'll find myself in a situation where something is being opened and there's this guy who doesn't seem to care about what's being revealed, his interest is the box itself. Sometimes that guy is me.

If you're away from home, at a party, or maybe helping someone with a home improvement project you feel weird asking "Hey, you gonna want that box?" But you're thinking it. Certain boxes are irresistible. If you happen to be helping a buddy install a new toilet you covet his box. Toilet boxes are built, they're super sturdy and have handles built in! It's box nirvana!!!

I really started taking boxes and their utility seriously after I got a Costco membership. Costco has some pretty great boxes. These boxes are usually very study, some have a double-walled construction, and they are often very large. Some have an open top design and those have their own utility. Open top boxes are not long-term storage boxes; they are more like crates. For moving your work along with you as you progress these boxes are awesome. Gardening tools, seedlings, gloves or anything you need, and it makes clean up a snap. Did I mention Costco has some great boxes?

There is a downside to all this box collecting - beside the ridicule. They take up space. I fortunately have a large spare bedroom, with a large walk-in closet. Not everyone has that luxury. True many boxes can be broken down and stored flat. I don't like to do that if it can be helped. It compromises the structural integrity of the box. But we do what we got to do.

Next time you are in a situation where a substantial box is being opened keep an eye out for the guy (it's usually a guy) who is checking out the box instead of the treasure inside. He's there, lurking. Cut him a break. He's doing someone somewhere a service.

Humans desire order and stability over the Death Star

by Craig Willms

The Force

Humans crawled out of the jungle became nomads and eventually settled down into communities. We created an ordered society. That's important. That humans crave order is obvious. Conversely we seem to crave adventure. These concepts seem diametrically opposed. Which is it? Can't it be both?

Young boys, if left to there own devices, will set out on an adventure to conquer the unknown. It seems innately built into them. As a young boy I did it too. We lived on the edge of a housing development that opened into hundreds of acres of untouched land that stretched all the way to the Mississippi river. In the summer we'd often set out to explore these mysterious fields and woodlands. It was glorious. This feeling lasted about four or five hours. One by one each of us craved the life we'd left behind, our civilization. We wanted to be back in our homes where the refrigerator was full and the couch was as welcoming as the TV in the corner.

The draw of the adventure was strong. The longing for home and its order was just as strong. We were kids, we had no responsibility and we knew so little of the way the world worked. Clearly breaking the bonds of order was important to our individual desires, and we pursued adventure with abandon. Wherever we went we knew our home and the attendant order was going to be there for us when we returned. Anything else was unthinkable. Comfort and safety was important whether we understood it or not. We were typical humans.

Today we are civilized men and women who live in an ordered society, an imperfect society. Every society ever created by human beings is imperfect. Why is the imperfection important enough to emphasize twice? Simply, imperfection is cited as the reason Western Civilization must be destroyed. Destroyed in favor of what?

The Empire Strikes

Well, that is the question, but it comes after the fact. That fact our country, our society is being dismantled from within needs to be acknowledged first. Half of America doesn't even see it, the other half is equally divided into their camps. One camp is heavily funded and back stopped by the major media. The other half until recently didn't even fight back.

They first awoke after Barack Obama was elected and sought to "fundamentally" transform America. He broke the country down across racial lines and that old favorite the exploiters vs the exploited. The media carried the water for The Light Bringer and covered his head in a halo. Dissenting voices were drowned out and all but dismissed as a nutty conspiracy theories.

Barack Obama may have been the one to ramp up the undeclared civil war, but he was not the architect of ruin. It probably goes back to the end of World War II or even before, whenever its inception the "conspiracy" is now wide and deep. In recent years, basically since the rise of Trump, the left has turned the burners up to high. We are now seeing a partial breakdown of order. There is lawlessness that is being accepted and encouraged through no bail policies. Criminals are being protected and law enforcement is now branded the enemy. This particular conspiracy is undeniable. What Obama did was to carefully staff the federal apparatus including the Dept. of Justice, the military and numerous federal agencies with like-minded sycophants. It's been called the weaponization of government. They were able to unleash it on Donald Trump starting in 2015. The rest is history.

As Obama orchestrated his leftist base it coalesced with Non-Governmental Organizations and giant 'charitable' foundations, the real playground of the billionaires. Those ties were already there but now they were codified. It was a synchronicity that steered an entire manufactured narrative that America was irredeemable just as the newly minted EU sought to destroy European culture and its history. Born out of the elite structures of the WEF and the like, none of the subversion was done out in the open. The power and weight of the this mindset was slap in the face to the ordinary native born populations.

The NGO's with their noble missions and numerous benign sounding foundations utilize their billions aligned against America and it's founding principles. These private or government funded outfits are not required to report their finances and are not taxed on any of the money they receive. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors as the song goes. What they do, they do with impunity. It's believed that these entities underpin the whole leftist Democrat operation as well as all their European comrades. This has been known for years, everyone shrugs, or winks and nods. It goes deeper than we can possibly imagine. We know little of what actually happens with all that money at hand. What I know about it, or think I know, is cobbled together from different sources and putting two and two together. These organization's number one goal is to topple the United States. But first - Europe...

In 2016 to everyone's surprise and especially his, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton as half of America recoiled against what Obama had done. Katy bar the door. Trump was naïve and had no idea of the width and depth of the swamp, as he liked to call it. He was in over his head. It was Russia, Russia, Russia 24/7 and then Covid-19. The tumultuous election that followed the George Floyd riots saw Trump lose to Joe Biden. His contesting the election went nowhere, every court case was immediately dismissed. In any event the lawfare against Donald Trump never stopped, it was one charge after another.

Biden from his first days in office was clearly losing his battle with dementia, but the Obama apparatchiks quietly took over his administration. In order to sow chaos the borders were thrown open and chaos ensued. This had already been done in Europe with devastating effect. Government budgets ballooned through Covid and beyond. On the ground the economy (the world economy) suffered government induced inflation. Rising interest rates used to fight inflation discouraged future homeowners, while private equity firms stepped into the housing sector to create renters instead of home owners. For the paycheck to paycheck crowd the rising cost of everything killed all their dreams. America, they were told was an unfair and racist society that the billionaires controlled, antithetical to the fact that most of the billionaires supported the Democrat's causes.

Traditional culture was pummeled from every direction and the young here and abroad have become societally discouraged from marrying and having children. The children already born were being encouraged to deny their biology and transition their sex. Their schools and colleges became literal indoctrination centers, where the parents were unwelcome. It got to the point of parents groups being tagged domestic terrorist organizations for opposing the trans agenda being forced on their small children. Amid this chaos every change in the weather was treated as a sign of the end times. Global warming had become the Climate Crisis!! and all the energy our civilization needs is to blame. Safe energy had to come from only solar and wind - which didn't work. It was all so surreal, but treated as totally normal and oh so obvious.

The future looked bleak for next generation. Which is what "they" wanted. America had no dream anymore if it ever did. Alas, all around civil order was starting to break down. On the streets in many cities here and in Europe are dangerous no-go zones, while across social media lawlessness and strife is being encouraged. It seems every week there is a church shooting or a school shooting, some mass casualty event. The perpetrator's are almost always potential psychiatric patients. Order and stability is waning.

A New Hope

While there have been signs in Europe that they've had enough of it, not much seems to be changing, yet. In United States however, Joe Biden may have actually saved the day for America. In retaliation of the Obama takeover of his administration, when they forced him out of the 2024 race his ego revolted and he crowned Kamala Harris his successor. She was a disaster. On the other side Donald Trump never gave up, and began to beat back the unfounded lawfare waged against him. He crushed Harris in the 2024 election.

Armed with experience the Trump team hit the ground running in 2025. Having identified the underlying apparatus of the Democratic machine, the global socialist machine, they set about to dismantle it. The fraud, deception and embezzlement of government funded entities was thrown into the light. DOGE and federal prosecutors overturned the rocks these criminals hid under. On the international front the beneficiary's of USAID's funding were exposed. The billions in funding was immediately suspended or cancelled outright. So much of the funding fronted the intelligence community's activities in other countries that they don't know where the fraud began or ended.

This was just in the first months of the Trump's new term. Trump was the first Republican to actively fight in court the false claims made against him by the leftist media. He has won most of them. Other companies and social media entities have come forward to admit that the Biden administration and the Federal authorities pressured them into countering anything or anybody that opposed them or their agenda.

On the other front, the mass invasion of illegal immigrants, the Trump administration slammed shut the borders and began a mass deportation push. Trump is also putting so-called sanctuary cities on notice that there will be consequences for their actions related to thwarting ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and other enforcement efforts. It's no mystery who is funding the anti-ICE riots all over the country. It is the hill the Democrats and leftists are willing to die on. Why they think there is an appetite to offer illegal immigrants health care and other services they don't offer to American citizens is the real mystery.

All these actions are stirring the hard left into hysterics, but it's falling on deaf ears. Leftists are being exposed for liars and subversives that they are. Despite his unchecked ego people can see that Trump is acting to preserve and recover what had made the United States de facto global hegemon, the leader of the free world. If you were not paying close attention, you could be moved by the fear and loathing the left has for Trump and his policies. That ended when the sniper's bullet killed Charlie Kirk in full view of his wife and children. The Democrats could not help themselves the glee they felt. The sickening display of vitriol over Charlie's message against the backdrop of his brutal death was too much for many, many on the center-left. It is now completely clear who is for freedom, order and stability.
