This is the Democratic party platform, the real one. While it's not the entire platform, since tax the rich is not mentioned, but it is the foundation of the Hate America plan. Nearly every one of these points is in place in 2026 America. 

Every point in this plan is devised to cleave America into pieces, pieces that can be steered and controlled. Notice that Christianity is not mentioned. Why, well too many Christians agree with this list and the inclusion of Christian bigotry would turn them off. Be rest assured that ultimately Christianity is in the cross hairs. Like the felling of a mighty oak tree the leftists/Democrats seek to cut Christianity off from its roots, leaving the landscape barren and the forest floor to be scorched by the fires of hell.

Number 4 on this list may be the most insidious. We often think of foundations and NGOs as benign and charitable, they are anything but. They are cover for anti-American, anti West ideologies. Foundations are the playground of the billionaires, tax free havens with which they can attempt to influence the world with a sheen of good intentions and charity. Any real investigation of these foundation and NGO's will bear that out. The really insidious part is that the NGO's - non governmental organizations is that they are often funded by government tax money (or government debt). Our money is going to support groups that hate America, that hate you, particularly you white people. In 2025 the Trump administration and Elon Musk turned the spotlight on them and cut them off from most taxpayer money. The left, the Democrats went nuts. Exposed!

I didn't know anything about Richard Lamm, but I don't have to because clearly in 2026 his replacement is Gov. Walz of Minnesota. I hate to use the word hate, but I hate Walz and everything he stands for. We need only to look at the results of what Lamm has done. Colorado, once one of the greatest states in the U.S., along with California, today Colorado is a dying due to these 8 steps. California speaks for itself...

The last time I was in Colorado 8 years ago I was completely disgusted. It was so depressing compared to my wonderful trips to Colorado in the 80s. Is California and Colorado what we want for the rest of America and the West? My home state of Minnesota is on this exact path and the sheeple keep voting for this because they seem to believe in these 8 steps??? I don't get it. To be fair, Minnesota is a 50/50 state - yet for the last 25 years the state government has been totally dominated by the Democrats. Fully half the people are opposed to the DFL, but their (R) candidates never win. This is impossible in a fair, above the board system, which Minnesota is not.

Autopen-gate

I agree with many others that autopen"gate" is easily the biggest presidential scandal ever. It makes Watergate seem like child's play. I doubt it will ever get the attention it rightly deserves. It just hit the news a few weeks ago, with this being late May 2025, just months after Joe Biden left the White House. The scandal hits at a time when people and the press are weary of scandals real and fabricated. Coming off the fiascos of Covid-19, an (allegedly) stolen presidential election, the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, the Russia/Ukraine war, the murderous Hamas attack on Israel and a clear and obvious dementia addled presidency - for starters. When you add the blistering and maligned candidacy of Donald Trump the fatigue is understandable. Nevertheless, no matter how tired and scandal weary we are we can't let the autopen conspiracy pass. 

For years, possibly all four years the federal government's executive branch was employing the autopen without the oversight of its current elected namesake. In other words presidential edicts, executive orders, pardons and commutations, funding decisions and myriad of other orders were signed into action by someone, anyone, who was not the President.

By the time we were allowed to talk about the decline and fall of Joe Biden, and the question of who exactly was in charge of executive actions was finally being asked, the autopen was in someone else's control. We don't know who or for how long, but that's beside the point, the President was not aware of those who would sign his name. That's a scandal of immense proportions. Don't however rely on the major media to cover it fairly, if at all. Why? "C'mon man" as Biden himself would say, "I'm a Democrat!"

Rest assured if Trump had not won the White House this scandal would have been swept under the rug and Biden would have been pardoned ala Gerald Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon. I hope Trump and company doesn't let this go. There will be no consequences for Biden himself either way, but someone should be held to account and all autopen related orders scrutinized. Biden probably was and certainly is now disabled by dementia and we now learn faces advanced stage prostate cancer. He likely will not live long enough to see this play out.

I personally have no faith that the federal government will at any level uncover the length and width of this scandal, that's what being in the federal government means - never having to say you're sorry. As of today, May 28 2025 I predict this major scandal will fade away. We'll look back at this post and scratch our heads and say - what was all that autopen stuff about anyway???

Winter is Coming...

Hey Nero, put that fiddle down!

Winter being an unsubtle metaphor for war it is always right around the corner. Even at the height of summer we know winter is coming. Our country is waking up from a long slumber - and it needs to. With a new administration we are seeing a renewed effort to prepare America for a war we hope we never have to fight. Unfortunately, we are miles behind. Do we realize that the nation that spends more on defense than most of the rest of the world combined is not prepared to win wars? 

America in its lore and continuing self-image is the nation that defeated the Nazis and the Imperial Japanese. Well, for one we didn't do it alone and we were an unapparelled industrial power then. We are no longer unapparelled and we are a greatly diminished industrial power today. 

Short of leveling the world in a nuclear holocaust we haven't the army or the industrial might required to win a major war. With the advent of drone technology and precision munitions military actors from anywhere could castrate our nation. 

I bring this up because we have an undercurrent in the political rhetoric that seems hellbent on taking Russia to war for their crimes against Ukraine. The EU and the American left are saber rattling as if war with Russia is the only rational solution. President Trump campaigned on stopping the current wars, while rebuilding our fighting capacity and ridding the Federal government of waste and fraud, yet he is being opposed at every turn by the peace and love party. Other than opposing Trump at every turn because he is Trump none of this computes. Up is down, left is right, hot is cold and good is evil. 

The entirety of the Biden years were devoted to absolute nonsense. They beat their chest like rabid gorillas and then went to garden parties with their transvestite friends. They goaded Russia with covert and not so covert actions in Ukraine for more than a decade while floating NATO expansion over and over... This while they attempted to dismantle what is left of America's industrial and energy substrate and encouraging our chief ally to do the same. The EU is a military joke - and they know it. The one nation with the skill and work force to be a significant industrial power has been laid to waste by preserving butterflies and flowers. Germany is lost, and with it so is Europe. France, the other legitimate power, is stumbling in the weeds of its own contradictions and Great Britain is a shell.

The question is, were the Biden puppeteers really fiddling or was it by design. In all honesty I believe it was the latter. 

The left, the communists, let's call them what they are, want the United States and our capitalist ways to fall. It's not even debatable. Their political opposition, the feckless Republicans and the country club crowd want to act like we can give in to the leftists here and there as well as spread out productive capacity (and get cheap labor to boot) and magically all will be well with the world. Well obviously, that's wrong. Giving into the left only emboldens them. Nothing is ever enough. They are children and they want it all. Even in the face of utter failure nothing will turn these people into moderates. Their ideas must be crushed, Karl Marx must, for once and for all, be completely discredited. Please.

Trump sees that. He coopted the Republican party to inject a dose of reality. Time will tell if he can succeed, if he's allowed to, that is, if he can get out of his own way. If he can subdue his titanic ego - a very tall order - he can take a giant step toward making America sturdy again. It seems his top priority is to reindustrialize the nation and re-militarize our armed forces. That seems like an oxymoron considering armed forces is another term for military, but what Biden's puppeteers were doing was sissifying our military and making it a social justice cause instead of a fighting force. I hope enough people can see that. 

Because America is protected by oceans and supposedly friendly neighbors to the north and south, we have a measure of protection, or at least we did. What Canada and Mexico have been doing violates the friendly neighbor clause. They are staging ground for China to flood the U.S. with their cheap goods and their drugs (and Chinese migrants). Our friendly neighbors also use tariffs to prevent American goods from wrecking their own production. As in, from what I hear, 250% on dairy products from the U.S. Lately we've been hearing the term "reciprocal tariffs" instead of just tariffs so that the point can be made. Almost every country protects its industry with tariffs in one way or another, this is nothing new.  Trump is playing tit-for-tat in order to prod manufacturing back to our shores. It's smart. But the media makes it seem like Trump is just being a jerk and rocking the boat because he can. Well, yes, he can, and he should. 

If war was to come to us in a big way right now, we'd be screwed. Our delicate infrastructure could be devastated before we could ramp up a war machine. We don't even make the components in this country that support our own infrastructure. The left would get its dream and the rest of us would be living hand to mouth, groveling for scraps. The United States would go the way of the Romans, a footnote in the history books. That's what the leftists want. Please tell me you can see that...

USAID - Not just folly, criminal

I was one of those people who knew nothing about USAID or any number of other government agencies that spend billions of dollars within their dubious mission statements. The whole government aid and NGO paradigm is a murky, swampy concept that goes right over our heads - by design. We have all supported the concept of charitable organizations addressing social and economic problems, it only seems right. Whereas most of us older people think of faith-based outfits, in reality we know full well that government stepped in decades ago and took over this space. Most of us have no idea how far it has strayed from the concept.

Whenever the government gets involved with anything it eventually becomes rife with unseen corruption and smiling people in fancy suits and luxury cars coming out personally richer in every respect. The aid dollars destined for the situation at hand never seem to have the impact that was hoped. Alas, if it was ever about 'the situation', it became all about grift. Face the facts, all large institutions become corrupt in some way. In this case USAID and some other organizations they have always been the principal funding mechanism for clandestine activity for the intelligence community, or straight up grift for the credentialed government class. 

After WWII the conquest and capture of foreign lands by means of armies of destruction was over. Covert manipulation of elections and the spreading of propaganda, which we call disinformation these days became the preferred method of taking control. If America was going to dominate the world then a way to infiltrate foreign locales was required. Welcome USAID. The promise of US dollars was the foot in the door, a legitimacy for "intelligence" agents to operate in these countries. Fast forward 60 years and billions of dollars later the ugly truth is about to come out. Whether this method to conduct U.S. "policy" around the world is legitimate or not it's obvious it is out of control. In the end it props up the global war machine - and this is what's important to the American state.

There have been efforts over the years to reign in these programs. In the end the politicians and officials who highlighted these boondoggles were treated as a punchline and then dismissed. No one ever took the second step by taking action or at least doing a serious follow up. They didn't because they were strongly encouraged to drop it lest they or their families are paid an unwelcome visit...

Enter Trump 2.0 and D.O.G.E. and the threat of complete exposure. For decades this money faucet flowed freely, set on auto-pilot. Look away, nothing to see here. The dirty little secret that everyone in DC always knew and looked away from is that 99% of all these funds were in service to the ultra-left. I'd be remiss not to point out that big money interests almost always directly or indirectly benefit. Turning these apple carts over and exposing the graft is only part of it, Trump intends to end it. It'll be great fun to watch the rats scurry away from the light.

The details are just emerging from D.O.G.E.'s initial pass, and it's overwhelming. Tens of billions of dollars sent out from Washington to entities all over the world funding a list of projects that read like Saturday Night Live skits. You literally could not make this stuff up.

It's early, the dust has yet to settle, but the one that caught my attention is so bizarre and so creepy that I just had to bring it up. Thompson Reuters, a media company was awarded $9,173,000,000+ to create something called Large-Scale Social Deception. LSD! Thompson, once a text book creator for our schools had merged with Reuters a business news publisher. Honestly, when I said you can't make this stuff up I had the word ironic floating through my mind. Social deception occurs when individuals or governments manipulate social interactions for their own gain while hiding their true intentions. Is social deception something we want our government to be involved with? Yet, here we are with a combination of an educator and news disseminator creating the template for Washington!

Honestly I know nothing other than the title, the dollar amount and the awardee, yet it's enough to know it's bad, very bad. Now, had we learned this prior to 2020 it might have breezed by unnoticed. What happened in 2020? Covid-19. Talk about largescale social deception. This is an OMG moment. Obviously there is more to learn on this one, but those who mock "conspiracy theories" have got some soul searching to do.

Bad Actors

No, I'm not talking about Adam Sandler or Hayden Christenson, notoriously bad actors, I'm talking about bad actors on the world stage. We in the West like to think of Putin or Xi or Maduro, the Ayatollah even Kim as bad actors - and they are - but to a certain degree they are reactionaries. Reacting to what, to whom? Well, sorry to say they're reacting to the American state. The American State Dept. and their ancillary departments to be exact. We need only to look in the mirror to see the catalyst of  many of the world's atrocious actions.

Most Americans are going to say what? What on Earth are you talking about? The thing is most non-Americans will know exactly what I'm saying. We here in America are so under served by our mainstream media, where most people still get their news, that we can't even recognize how brainwashed we are. Even with the global reach of the Internet and access to outside news sources the domestic big media still hold sway. It's understandable, a single human has only so much time and bandwidth - and most of us are busy. There is a lot of noise out there. 

The good news is that the whole of the Biden presidency and the subsequent Harris campaign exposed a fair amount of the rot and guile that is our Federal government. The fact that Trump cleared all hurdles including being shot, and won the 2024 presidential election handily indicates that enough people see the truth of the vile underbelly of the "blob". The blob? The bureaucratic state, the permanent government, the deep state or whatever you want to call it, constitutes the blob. The blob is not hemmed in by American borders, it exists in Canada, Europe and Australia as well. Trump was elected partly due to his rhetoric to drain the 'swamp', clearly American's have some idea of the width and breath and the depths of  this monster. It remains to be seen if he's all hat and no cattle. Color me skeptical, he did next to nothing on this the first time around.

What ever you think it's wrong. As bad as I think it may be, be assured it's worse, much worse. 

Anywhere in the world there is strife or war or economic dysfunction America or it's allies are stirring the pot. Usually there are major economic concerns, giant corporations and a lot of money on the line. Do you really think that the invasion of Ukraine by the Russians started in February 2022 when the tanks started rolling? If so, you are naïve. Ukraine was supposed to be the buffer between Russia and NATO. Putin was promised by multiple administrations that NATO would not encroach on Russia. The Obama administration then staged a coup in Ukraine and installed a NATO friendly regime after ousting the Russian friendly government.  Now we are funding a war to the tune of billions of dollars that not one person can demonstrate a single American interest. Not one. Is it any wonder Putin is reacting the way he is.

Consider the Nordstream pipeline in the North Sea. It supplied affordable Russian gas to Europe. It was destroyed mysteriously. Mysteriously? Wink, wink. Yeah, you and everyone else knows who destroyed it. Why? What's it all about? 

Indeed, what is it all about? It's about energy, and who control's it - and who makes money from it. Oil, natural gas and coal power the modern world, therefore he who controls it controls the world. This has been true for 100 years or more. Nearly every hot war has been fought over the control of energy. Lurking behind the scenes the State Department and their minions in the CIA etc etc foment armed conflict to induce chaos and ultimately determine who controls the flow of oil and gas.

In one sense the desire to push the world to electric cars and electric heating and cooking seems laudable if only to change the world's power dynamic (pun intended). But it was folly. For one, the conversion to EV's and the like is not technically ready, and two, it still takes traditional energy to power the electric grids of the world. 

Remember when Syria entered into deals to build oil pipelines to connect the middle east to the Mediterranean Sea? Suddenly there was an insurgency in Syria, funded and armed by - you guessed it - the Obama administration. ISIS was born. It worked, Assad was nearly overthrown until Russia intervened. It became a stale mate, but it stopped the pipeline plan. We back here in America only heard how awful ISIS and Assad (and the Russians) behaved. We were put on high alert for terrorist activity here in the Homeland while our planes and drones were dropping bombs on innocent Syrians, killing tens of thousands and displacing millions of people. Indeed, Assad and the rest of them are bad, evil even, but how can we, the United States, consider ourselves the good guys?

We like to think that Iran and the Ayatollah's as the epitome of evil, and in a sense they are, but they are also reactionaries. More than half a century ago the CIA installed a government in Tehran to serve as our guy in the heart of the middle east oil region. Since the overthrow of the Shah in 1979 Iran has been at war with the U.S. in one way or another. We are sold this notion that they are are just wild-eyed terrorists, but they are the way they are because of what our CIA had done - and continues to do. They, the Iranian government are not the good guys, but neither are we. America caused this situation. Is it any wonder we are regarded as The Great Satan in Iran... 

The western hemisphere is just as deep in the State Department's mess as the middle east. Since WWII the CIA and the State Department has intervened, disrupted, staged coups and generally run amok in the affairs of every sovereign nation on this side of the world. Is it any wonder South American nations are embracing China. 

This has got to stop. Is there any reason to believe it will? Not really. The "deep state" or whatever you call it is essentially a crime syndicate and has been since it's inception in the 1940's. It is entrenched, and it's world wide. Anyone, regardless of their status or perceived power who confronts it in any way is usually dealt with swiftly and decisively. It's either coercion or it's a bullet. 

One hopes that a Trump administration can start turning the ship, particularly since he has only one term, no reelection to concern him. To the previous point, a bullet recently grazed his ear and the circumstances and the perpetrator are still shrouded in mystery. Be assured the money and power of the giant corporations, the money men on Wall Street and the deep deep deep state in Washington DC will outlast him. The service he can do is to shine the light on this monster and get average Americans to see what we have become. We are a criminal global war factory, and the powers and principalities will continue unabated until we collectively demand an end to it. Even that may not be enough.

Turmoil Amid the Chaos: a corrupt world

The international headlines are horrific. The national headlines are just depressing. It's enough to make you want to bury your head in the sand. I can only thank God I haven't become gadgetized to a point where I understand the "twitterverse" or what "trending" means. If I was that superficial I may not actually care what was going on in Iraq or Ukraine or the conditions for Latin American children on our border.

Or maybe I'd care too much...

The world - the human world -  has always been messy. Most of us can't imagine what it must have been like to be a Jew or a Gypsy in 1930-40s Germany. Being herded into train cars to be carried off the a gas chamber and a mass grave had to be equally as abhorrent as the crimes the butchers of ISIS  are committing in Iraq today. Back then it took years before it was common knowledge, now it's damn near being broadcast live. Or how you say, tweeted live?

The horrors of  the 20th century's two world wars and the communist expansion throughout Asia and Europe are clear because we have pictures and actual participants still alive that can tells us about it. The rest of human history was just as brutal. There never really was the good 'ol days.

What makes it all so depressing is that our modern technological world has created a basis to end so much human suffering. Poverty has decreased massively in the last 30 years worldwide. As of 2008 that progress has stopped.  As well, we have the know how to be good stewards of the Earth, using, not abusing the riches the planet has to offer. The West has cleaned-up it's environment remarkably since the ecological awakening of the 1960's. The rest of the world no so much. Going further we have the ability to reach out from this tiny planet and explore the great expanse of the galaxy and even the universe. America is now handing over access to space to private business - for better of for worse.


Instead of seeing the progress our human abilities demand here in the year 2014 the world is unraveling before our eyes? Why is this happening? Why such turmoil, why such misery? Two words: Special Interests.

By special interests I don't necessary want to conjure images of corporate fat cats or greasy lobbyists - only. Special interests come in every stripe and color, motivated by greed, pride, gluttony, lust, envy, sloth and wrath. Hmmm, where have we seen these seven words strung together like that?

The least respected people in America are politicians and criminals, but then I risk being redundant with statements like that. We used to believe or at least we've read that like the priesthood going into politics to serve was a higher calling. Consider how that all turned out, one serves God and the other is celibate. OK, I joke, this would be true if "money" is God and buggering children didn't count as sexually active.

 My guess is that both politicians and priests enter their respective worlds with good intentions, wanting to serve, to make a difference, but quickly become corrupted by the system. To some degree this happens to all of us. It's human nature to self-serve, we are all individuals after all.

It's the capacity to harm that takes corruption, institutional or personal, to the next level. Cronyism and stacking the deck is the MO of politicians. To be sure there are always two sides to cronyism so don't think I'm singling out our beleaguered public servants. Big business can make political corruption look like a petty crime. Protected by their benefactors mega corporations plow ahead, in many cases destroying as much as they create, all perfectly on the up and up legally, of course. Since we don't vote for corporations - directly - we tend not to vent our anger at them as much. If you are supposed to rely on mass media to alert us to truth about corruption you are in for a long wait. Corruption to the media often comes with gigantic blinders.

Still this is America, we're the good guys, right? Because the so-called rule of law applies to most of us regular folk we tend to think we live in a less corrupt society than most. I'm not so sure.

The U.S. ranks 19th of 175 countries on the "corruption" scale. The Arab world, Latin America and Africa are way down there at the bottom - not surprising. This is seriously misleading when you consider that the American economy at 16 trillion dollars a year absolutely dwarfs everything else on the planet. The corruption scale is simply apples to oranges. Like I said it's the capacity to do harm and money magnifies this ability exponentially.

On the other end of the scale often the people with the least are looking hardest for every angle to game the system. This mentality of something for nothing starts at the top and washes all the way down to the poorest. The demotivating character of handouts and programs (all offered with the best of intentions) corrupts millions of Americans who then never even try for something better. It's beyond sad.

Corruption chokes the very progress we seek. Constantly gnawing away at the very heart of positive development. It undercuts everything that's been set up to promote the good. It leads to turmoil among the chaos as everyone rationalizes (or hides) their own corrupt behavior. Government corruption leads to higher taxes, robs average people of their wealth as it covers for corporate corruption who continue the thievery. The one/two punch of government regulation and corporate protection discourages investment in new enterprises, encourages the disenfranchised into dealings with the 'black market', thereby promoting conflict and destroying confidence in all institutions.

So much for the Captain Obvious portion of show. Solutions?

Ugh

Outlaw Regimes - not just for the third world anymore

It's so overwhelming that we are hardly shocked anymore. The Obama Administration and its insidious ring of bureaucrats have defacto carte blanc to do whatever they want, and they exploit it at every turn.

I just need to fume over the latest crimes. Can someone tell me how the most powerful department of the Federal government can lose a year and a half of e-mails? Simple, they can't - its not possible in this day and age. The disputed IRS e-mails were deliberately scrubbed and everyone knows this. Once again the major media sweeps it under the rug. Reporting on it matter of factly as if it's no more noteworthy than a passing thunderstorm is not reporting, it's negligence.

The story of thousands of kids storming the borders in the south with an implicit promise from Obama himself of amnesty - a travesty in the making - again gets short shrift in the media. How many have heard the of Texas/ Arizona dust up perpetrated by the Feds? Illegals are being dumped across the Arizona border because the Feds can't process any more on the Texas side. Cloward-Priven anyone?

Every day we hear on the alternate media channels or read on the Internet another transgression against the constitution by this regime. No one dares to go after the President in any real or substantive way. Why? Do I really have to say it? The opposition party is soulless as well as toothless. They are content to ride out the next two years and hope Hillary is better. What a bunch of pansies. They are so afraid to be called racist that they wet their pants and hide behind their sub-committees. Do they think its any better to be called a sexist?

Obama's EPA declares a criminal war on our energy, pledging to put the coal industry out of business - the source 60% of our electricity - and the urban IPad crowd cheers. How pray tell do they think their IPads and and their coffee shops and their electric cars get power? Oh, these guys are the smart ones, college educated and everything. Electricity? Doesn't it grow on trees?

Every Federal department has been successfully transformed into a wing of the progressive socialist party. Little by little the freedom guaranteed the states and the people are eroded and 50% of the people cheer. How ignorant can they be? Fully 12% of the native workforce sit idle while companies import "talent" from overseas and 50% of unemployed voted for this guy. How self hating can they be? The economy is riding high for Wall Street, Federal bureaucrats and oil drillers in North Dakota, but completely stagnant for every one else. Still 95% of the media tells us the economy continues to recover. How naive can we be?

We the Sheeple, if we continue to bend over and take it, well, we'll deserve what we get.

Who's gonna stop him? Part II

The Obama administration does what it wants...

Where is the outrage over the lawlessness of the Obama administration? It's unfortunately understandable that the media pays only lip service to the blatant lies and unconstitutional unlegislated actions taken by the executive branch, we have come to expect that. There is some outrage on talk radio and Fox News, but it does not translate into public exasperation or outcries because it is not reinforced day after day by the New York Times, the big three networks or the wire services.

The IRS scandal alone is undoubtedly criminal but the President gets to declare on national TV that there is not a smidgen of of impropriety and that's it, case closed. Any other administration - even a Democratic one - would be smeared ceaselessly with just the appearance of this sort of impropriety. Consider the breadth and scope of the NSA domestic spying issue, ironically brought to the light of day by an illegal act itself. It should be making everyone upset, particularly the liberal left. But it doesn't. Why? Instead of outrage and indignation 60 Minutes, a stalwart watchdog of government wrongdoing turns over the NSA scandal to a spokesmen, a former FBI official to essentially tell us to move along, there's nothing to see here. Two days later he lands a sweetheart job in New York City that was greased by the folks in Washington.

It doesn't end with these stories. The administration has since day one chosen which provision of the law it wants to enforce. The executive branch is supposed to execute the legislation the legislative branch passes. Instead the legislature sits idly by while the Obama administration does what it wants...The Affordable Care Act has had parts delayed or ignored without consent of the Congress numerous times and there has been no real outrage. This is the law the President lobbied for and signed. The Justice Department declares without the approval of the legislature what laws it will enforce and which laws it will look the other way on. This is clearly illegal, but no one on Capitol Hill pushes back. Why? Why the apathy across the board?

I hear nothing at work, almost nothing in my day to day interaction with family and friends and surely nothing on the editorial page. There can only be a few explanations for this silence. Fatigue is the one I expect the most. The strategy to overwhelm the senses is a good one. Essentially there are so many things to be outraged over that one loses the ability to sustain his ire. I also think that people in the media will not go after this President in the way it is deserved because of the color of his skin. There I said it.

Explain how a stupid parochial tit for tat scandal about a traffic jam in New Jersey could garner more minutes and column inches (and bits and bytes) in the major media than a scandal involving the blatant misuse of IRS power if there isn't some kind of prejudice going on. You can't. No one can.

It seems that the people diametrically opposed to this administration are content now to ride out the last few years and let the chips fall where they may. It may become, it will become the lost decade economically. There will have been social changes that will be permanent, but even the health care legislation will need major overhauling - it's unworkable the way it is. The rest of the damage to the economy is likely to be recoverable. The ridiculous official unemployment rate that gets reported doesn't reflect the fact that millions of people that want to work and get ahead don't because of the way the government handles fiscal policy, regulations and taxes. This too is reversible, eventually. Unfortunately the damage to the real people who have been without work and those of us whose income has stagnated in the face of rising costs for food, fuel and taxes (direct and indirect) will continue to devastate. It's unconscionable that the news media refuses to examine the real effects of this administration's follies is having simply because they have so much invested in the appearance of the President's success. We haven't even touched on his foreign policy failures.

We should be outraged with this administration, I know I am. It sometimes feels like I'm all alone - at least in my circles. No one want's to hear me rant, they are tired of it. It doesn't matter what the facts are, just shut up please. This is how the Obama administration gets away with it - who's gonna stop it?

All things being equal

All things being equal income in the U.S. is not one of them. That being said things are never exactly as they seem. Take the chart above that I quickly put together as a visual aid. As a matter of clarity the green line actually goes far higher, but the point is made. Clearly there is something behind this 1% thing the Occupy Wall Street movement rallies against.

The actual number of one percenters is a tiny fraction, there just aren't that many of them. In that number along with Wall Street, corporate and industrial chieftains are your athletes, actors and rockstars. They get paid so much as a percentage of what the rest of us are paid because they presumably deliver commiserate value to their organizations. There are a few sports fans who might dispute that notion. The value of a good CEO, however, is undeniable and the value they bring potentially enriches thousands, even millions. For the sake of this article I don't want to focus on the rarefied air of the one percenters, they are an outlier to this argument.

For the rest of us who bring in less than $300,000 a year (most of us far, far less) the traditional way income is calculated is misleading at best. When Census Bureau data is used to define income which excludes transfer payments like Medicaid, Medicare, nutrition assistance, the Earned Income Tax Credit, and even employee benefits such as health insurance the real picture is skewed. When someone who brings in $100,000 a year is taxed and deducted his real spendable income is far less. On the the other hand someone earning $20,000 and takes advantage of all the "aid" available (and no Federal taxes deducted) the gap in real spendable income narrows considerably.

The higher earner may have advantages like the ability to obtain credit and leverage future earnings to improve his lot. But he also pays more taxes, interest and fees on those obligations further eroding his spendable monthly income. While he might get a health plan from his work, he still pays a considerable premium with co-pays and deductibles. The person with public assistance pays no property taxes, little in maintenance and fees and a pittance for his premiums and co-pays on public health assistance. The fact of the matter is the data commonly used to measure income inequality routinely ignores our highly progressive income tax system and the plethora of benefits and transfer payments. When the effect of taxes and transfer payments is taken into account, according to recent studies at Columbia University inequality actually declined 1.8% during the 16-year period between 1993 and 2009.

When the President and the hard core liberals complain about this raw number inequality there are not only dishonest with the numbers they are dishonest about the remedy. They want pay caps on corporate executive income and corporate income (actors and athletes not so much) and also wealth transfers which, of course, would be filtered through the government. The data they choose to ignore is that economic growth is the best remedy for all - particularly the middle class. This has been demonstrated time and time again. The problem the liberals have with that is two-fold. One, the wealthy will get wealthier, and two the poor will need less government - both unacceptable.

Nearly all of what the current government has tried is either a lie or misguided. The 800 billion dollar stimulus package (pure debt) signed in 2009 saw 7/8 of it go to transfer payments like food stamps, Medicaid expanded unemployment and of course to bogus "green" initiatives. None of it generated any tax revenue or stimulus. Worse, these transfer payments "steal" money from real investments and real research that would actually improve economic prospects. Add in the fiasco and unfunded liability of the Affordable Care Act and the nation is poised to take another economic hit. Private companies that have a cumulative trillion or more to invest sit on the sidelines because of the track record of the current government and the tax implications of repatriating overseas earnings. It can only be one of two things - total incompetence or it is a plan.

It seems so obvious to me and many others that government policy (pushed by huge corporate interests) have conspired to ruin the most exceptional thing about America - a powerful middle class. When the industrial revolution brought people in from the countryside an entirely new phenomenon, unseen in world history emerged to dominate the western world. The middle class was fostered by people like Henry Ford and even some of the so-called robber barons at the turn of the 20th century. Obviously inequality existed - as if ever didn't exist - but more people were pulled out of poverty than ever could have been imagined.

Today it seems that mega-corporate and government interests are not so secretly conspiring to create a two tiered society - namely the serfs and the elites - which is precisely where we started centuries before. In this scenario the middle class is the problem.

With high tech innovation and automation deleting good paying middle class jobs there is, of course, the continued globalization of manufacturing in low wage nations. Aided by government policy to support the transfer of labor from middle class nations to Asia it is clearly is a prime strategy of corporate and government elites. Using income disparity an it's transfer payments from the earners and producers to the lower class is another. Neither of these hurt the elites and the politicians who benefit from them. Both political parties in the U.S. regardless of what the pretend to claim for themselves practice this most destructive form of crony capitalism. The rest of the people can see this and hate both parties for it. The individual politicians are powerless to resist either through the seduction of power and money or palpable fear.

I am sensing thoughtful people are sick of it. The people on the center/right are completely disgusted with the Republican party. Not because they aren't conservative enough, but because they offer nothing to the middle class that we can cling to and seemingly stand for nothing - in the very least they have a major communication problem. The people on the center/left can see the train coming off the tracks and can't or won't believe it's their guys that are steering us wrong, but they are sick of it as well. The Democrats at least use their rhetoric to pretend the care, even if it is all bullshit.

The right wingers, morons though they might be, have got to be better at slowing the destruction the left wingers are currently foisting on us, am I right?

Obama does whatever he wants - who's gonna stop him?

When I restarted this blog I vowed not to get into personality politics. The aim was to comment on broader themes that spoke to the evolution  - or - devolution of the country and the culture. When one man has the power, or rather takes the power,  to remake the country then it's fair game here.

While we like to look back at simpler times and claim the mantle of the good old days we have to admit in many ways life is getting better. That's unfortunately only part of the picture. Obviously in other ways the train is wobbling on the tracks and every one knows it.

If you think about the country like a bucket of water that's teetering back and forth, the water sloshing about with some violently flying out. The water hovering toward the bottom half of the bucket is happy as a lark, knowing not what's happening up near the top. For this layer of water everything is fine until the day the bucket tips over completely. When that happens there will still be a little water safe within the bucket. For sake of the analogy we'll liken this water to the very rich and the bureaucracy. The rest, the poor and the vast middle class spills out onto the ground to evaporate into the ether, forsaken.

The result conjures a picture of a third would cesspool for me. By then it will too late to examine how and why it happened.

What set the bucket teetering back and forth?

I think the answer is rather obvious. The very rich and the bureaucracy. Face it, the very rich don't really care about poor and middle class Americans any more than they care about poor and middle class Africans or Australians. Their concern is maximizing profit, as long as there is a growing middle class somewhere that's all that matters.

The bureaucracy needs helpless multitudes to herd about, and the more the better. The old mantra in business to grow or die is just as valid for the bureaucracy. The bureaucracy is by far the largest growth industry there is in America. Thus the point of this article... The bureaucracy has its ultimate front man, his name is President Obama.

In his piece on the National Review website Kevin D. Williams details the actions and attributes of Barack Obama better than anyone I've read before. I think he actually sums it up neatly by implying Obama is the ultimate front man for the liberal bureaucratic train that's been barreling down the track at us since the turn of the last century. Far from having any grand vision or even a few big ideas Obama's politics are utterly conventional managerial liberalism. What makes him the perfect man for the job is his decent oratory skills and a blanket of protection afforded by his half black skin. Oppose him and you're a racist.

Nothing is worse for your career than being labeled a racist. When he has the full force of the New York Times and the major television networks ready to defend him at all costs wielding the sledge hammer of racism how can he lose? He can't.

Therefore, he does whatever he wants - who's gonna stop him? The Congress? Ha. The people? They can't unelect him. The media? And admit their worship was misguided? Not gonna happen.

American democracy, such as it is, will face death by a thousand cuts, not felled by one grand action. The national will, the hard working, the patriotic, the exceptional will be sliced and diced by the liberal bureaucracy until it no longer resembles the constitutional republic we learned about in school.

Mr. Williams lays it all out there. With the healthcare law alone the administration was given a rough framework in which his "team" got to fill in the blanks. With that the bureaucracy had years to prepare. Because it's a problem ill suited for a bureaucratic solution it threatened to derail a nascent economic recovery so the President chose to delay parts of the law (unlawfully so) and grant exceptions to his supporters (unions, per se).

When Congress failed to enact the DREAM Act which was intended to give the minor children of illegal immigrants legal status he simply enacted it by decree - again unlawfully.

When the citizens of Egypt staged a coup d’état all military aid was to be cut-off as required by American law. The Obama administration refused to obey the law.

The President cannot legally have American citizens assassinated, yet he does. The President is not allowed to use agents of the government against his political opponents, yet the IRS was used during a critical phase of the 2012 election to suppress political action groups allied against him. He blatantly makes recess appointments when Congress is not in recess. His cabinet secretary for Health and Human Services blatantly ignores the Religious Freedom Restoration Act - the law of the land - and forces institutions and individuals to act against their consciences by requiring them to cover abortifacients and birth control pills in their health insurance plans. I could go on... Really.

Congress has plenty of blame for this state of affairs. With Harry Reid acting as the gatekeeper for any real action by the Congress, regardless of what the Republican led House does, the President acts with near impunity. The media whose job it is to hold powerful feet to the fire has abdicated all credibility when it comes to Obama. The loyal opposition is perhaps the sorriest joke of all. Other than a few - Ted Cruise, Rand Paul - no one in the Republican party is saying anything about this executive branch power grab. The headless Tea Party movement made some inroads before they were crushed by major media's character assassination.

In a sense we are stuck with a defacto one party system, in practice there's not a dimes bit of difference between the parties. It's the bureaucracy stupid.

Hey Ho Western Civ will die slow

For the last 70 plus years you have been lied to. You may say, yeah so, tell me something I don't know. The thing is we have grown accustomed to being lied to by every one (even ourselves) that we're just as likely shrug it off than to even care about the consequences. The consequences are huge, so huge in fact you don't even see it when it's stomping on your feet and grabbing your wallet. America is on the very precipice of being lost and most Americans are too busy watching Breaking Bad or Dancing with the Stars to even give a damn.

What are you talking about fool?

Conspiracy theories of course. You know, the Soviet take over of the U.S.

Huh? The Soviet Union is dead, man get with the times.

Is it? 

Many years ago the list of communist goals for America was culled form a book called  "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen and brought to the attention of Congress in 1963. The reality of what has happened to this country in the interim is a testament to the power of the long view held by the true believers. In 2008 they had reached the very pinnacle by putting a neophyte (and true believer) in the White House with the help of a media complex that literally looked other way or outright lied to ensure his victory - twice. 

There have been bumps in road, I would say the era's of Eisenhower and Reagan slowed things down a bit, but it has been a slow steady march that has lead us to the deathbed of the West. It is amazing how many "goals" the communists (or socialists if you prefer) have achieved. 

I present nothing new here that we haven't heard before, but it doesn't mean the hand wringing over these cultural losses are any less serious especially when viewed together. Here in no particular order are the biggies...

- Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks. 

-  Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

- Permit free trade between all nations regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

- Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

- Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

- Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

 

- Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

 

- Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

- Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

 

- Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man." 

- Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

 

- Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use "united force" to solve economic, political or social problems. 

- Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."

 

- Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

 

Since all of these things have come to fruition and then some it's hard to look at this and say - well these things represent a natural progression from a under educated agrarian/religious paradigm to a modern view of things. That's rubbish. This was planned. Planned by the Soviets a century ago and carried out by a carefully cultivated progressive movement over the decades through emotional arguments. This is how we've wound up in today's politically correct, multicultural, morally relativistic, socialist swamp. 

 

It was born in the 1930's under the Roosevelt administration. 

We all know the greatest generation looks on Roosevelt as the Savior of the Nation. Was he? Roosevelt worked and lived side-by-side with a "co-president," Harry Hopkins and others, knowing or suspecting that Hopkins and a whole cadre of Federal officials were almost certainly communists. Hopkins probably determined much of U.S. policy for the during that time. In the early part of the twentieth century communism was not seen as the horror show we now know it is. Today, as the last of that generation dies off a few sober eyes have taken a look at what really happened during the 1930's and how World War II was fought to provide an edge not to the U.S. and it's western allies, but for the benefit of Stalin and the Soviets. Since the social progressive movement survives to this day the push back of these revelations is fierce.

 

 

The real shocker is that Joe McCarthy was right about all his conclusions about communist infiltration of the government (and Hollywood and thus the culture). It unsettling to say the least that most every thing we've been led to believe about America, about the goals of presidents and representatives, about our very belief system has just about all been lies.

 

The fact is Marxism has made more of an impact on the culture in the United States than most people want to believe. This while the media and academia actively promote Progressive Marxism as a myth. If we are ever to recover our Constitutional Republic as it was founded, we must be told the truth. What is the truth? Would we even know it if we heard it? I don't know...

 

So are we to be cynics about everything? Are we to shrug it off and plow forward with our own lives and let the chips fall where they may? Good questions. Simply putting politicians in office who claim to be against social progressivism (read Marxism) seems pointless since they are for the most part liars themselves. 

 

I would say first stop lying to yourself. Then gently, with kindness call out lies when you hear them. That's all one person can do.

There ought to be a law! Oh, wait there is...

These things are just so outrageous that if it doesn't make you mad then you are either dead or numb. [ or see the post immediately preceding this one ]

Fake Drivers Licenses and Welfare Benefits
We learn that getting MN drivers license is all that's needed to open up the vast resources of our welfare state (Minnesota). If one is good then 10 is even better, right? How could it not occur to the issuers of both DL licenses and welfare benefits that people would use fraudulent methods to obtain both. Worse, how could they not have set up investigative and law enforcement provisions?


We are to believe the Minnesota Department of Vehicle Services IS seriously concerned about people trying to defraud the system. Four years ago the MN DVS received a federal grant to use facial recognition software to electronically compare the facial features in photos from driver's licenses and state IDs.

This effort, 11 million photos in the vehicle services database, had the software finding nearly 1.3 million matches. These photos then had to be looked at one by one by human eyes. Many were dismissed with reasonable explanations - newly married, name changes, harmless pranks, twins etc...

What was left were about 23,000 records that have a good chance of being fraud. That's 23,705 cases of possible fraud to be exact.

As of now, about 10,000 of these driver's licenses have been canceled. However, not much else has been done. We learn that not a single name has been given yet to the Department of Human Services to check for welfare or food stamp fraud, and no names have been given or the Secretary of State to check against the voter rolls. And criminal prosecution? None.

All told 5,500 cases have been referred to an agency who can take any action necessary. But the state won't say which law enforcement agency. With 23,000 potential fraudulent IDs, shouldn't we know who's job it is to hold people accountable? Shouldn't someone know?

The problem of using fraudulent means to obtain "free" or "subsidized" benefits is rampant. 

It turns out that an administrative assistant in the Secretary of State's Office has been accused of using an alternate identity to receive more than $18,000 in low-income housing help from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. This person has spent seven years working in Minnesota government, though none of her alleged crimes involve her post directly. (As far as we know)

Yet, when it comes to state-issued identity cards -- real or fake -- the Secretary of State Mark Ritchie is already smack-dab in the middle of the controversy as an outspoken opponent of the voter ID referendum on the ballot in November, which would require voters to have a valid state ID.

I just bet that this person voted for Mr. Ritchie in the last election since she didn't even need to present her fake ID.

The irony of the indictment was not lost on Minnesota Majority, the group campaigning for the amendment. Ritchie, however, is out of state and has been unavailable for comment. Don't hold your breath on this one.

Social Security sets new record
The number of workers taking federal disability insurance payments hit yet another record in July, increasing to 8,753,935 during the month from the previous record of 8,733,461 set in June, according to newly released data from the Social Security Administration. The 8,753,935 workers who took federal disability insurance payments in July exceeded the population of 39 of the 50 states. Only 11 states—California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, North Carolina and New Jersey— have more population. In other words if all these recipients lived in one state it would be the 12th largest state in the union. 

Keep in mind this 8+ million is not the retirees receiving justly deserved benefits. It's just hard to imagine that there isn't a huge percentage of these people that are frauds. There is an entire legal industry set up to help people - deserving or not - get "their" Social Security Disability benefits. Everyone, I'm sure, believes in helping those truly disabled, but fraud is just rampant at all levels of this culture.

Food Stamps for Mexico!
Now we learn the Mexican government has been working with the United States Department of Agriculture to increase participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or food stamps. This has been going on since 2004, signed into existence during the Bush II era, that being said spending on food stamps has doubled since 2008, it is reasonable to suspect that the Obama administration has ramped up whatever partnership may have preexisted it.

What it is in short: the USDA sees to it that the Mexican Embassy and Mexican consulates in America provide USDA nutrition assistance program information to Mexican Americans, Mexican nationals working in America and migrant communities in America. The information is specifically focused on eligibility criteria and access.

There are rules for who is eligible, but it's safe to assume the standards are enforced with the enthusiasm the Obama administration shows toward other illegal alien activities on this side of the border. States are supposed to verify this so-called eligibility but verification standards vary widely. Applicants need only attest that they are citizens of the United States, and the state must accept that attestation as conclusive.

So, it's not bad enough that billions of dollars are obtained by fraudulent means by people from all walks of life and apparently from all countries, the government is soliciting for even more. We as a society, a culture have our hand out to help the less fortunate and all the while there are those who take our largess with one hand while the other is in our wallet taking even more.

All this fraud damn near gives corporate welfare a good name!
