Unfortunately my digital camera sucks, so it is a little dull and blurry... I particularly like the little Bush in the lower right-hand corner - I call it Dubya. You can almost see the glacier melting and the water winding it's way through the mountains before it spills into the lake in a series of spectacular waterfalls.

Not too shabby for a first major effort in many a moon. I probably would have fiddled with more color variation in the foliage but I tend to be too heavy handed in that arena. I like the composition it's oustanding.
Keep working with the basic palate for a while and branch out with subtle touches of more exotic colors when you reach your comfort zone. I'm learning that "less is more," does not only apply to womens make-up and mens cologne. Remember the canvas tells no lies, but sometimes in painting we do have a happy accident...
